this isnt aimed at anyone but when u see some people with a event listing on all the time, do u think swinger or desprate ?

OMG I was just having a conversation with a friend about this very subject. I think desperation especially when its almost every day. I've had messages of many people with these events on their profile and it puts me off straight away...well that and the lack of good conversation

Apart from clubs, which obviously do it to drum up business, it does seem a bit odd really.

I have limited playtime but on the occasions I've checked the local meets there are often the same old faces (or parts in some cases!) every time. Puts me off them for sure.

I dont tend to put a meet on them often as am selective about who I play with and prefer to search myself and mail people or put it on my profile and then locals will see it. From experience I put on that am wanting to meet a male for fun and can get men from scotland messaging me lol

I like to get to know the people I play with, so I'd never use the "meet today" and certainly don't go looking at it to note how many times "the same old faces" appear.

Honestly, the features offered by the site are there to be used. "Meet today" will never be for me, but I certainly wouldn't see that as a negative, as I'm sure they DON'T meet every day, and even if they did - so what? What's it got to do with me?!!

I really do wonder why people feel the need to make snidey comments about how other members play.

yeah dont make assumptions that people who often advertise for meets will shag anything.we put our availability on the lets meet page quite regularly but its bloody rare we find what were looking for.never the less we keep trying in the faintest hope that we will

I don't see why you need to justify your actions to anyone on here. Even if you did shag anything, in every hole, every day, plus twice on a Sunday, it's nobody's business but your own.

I do use the meet today flag as a way of showing when I'm looking to play rather than just perving the site. Invariably results can be poor but that goes with the territory as a single guy.

I can see why people get annoyed at it being 'overused'. Certain people have it on constantly and others are clearly just ads for clubs. One person has 2 separate profiles constantly as meet today.

But as others have said - each to their own.

one of my friends are on there quite a lot

they have no kids and only work part time so have a lot of free time

they put the meet up in the hope someone they like may get in touch

have to say they dont meet that often but are always the eternal optimists!

I think its good for people like us,we work and have kids so when we do get a bit of free time we are letting people know we are looking to meet and we can plan ahead using it x

Guess just cause they got a lot of things on the meets page dont mean they shag each time. We dont post on there often, but when we have done we havnt always got a meet, as there is not attraction etc etc. So no it dont mean ppl are desperate and each to their own, who are we to judge

the meets listings and the 'looking to meet today' flag is nothing to do with desperation it is just a simple way of telling people that you are available to meet ,that doesnt mean you will meet whoever messages you first, far from it!

and if somebody has taken the time and effort to organize an event or a party etc,then they are perfctly entitled to advertize it and shouldnt be judged for it.

yes admittedly in some cases there are the same meets listed day after day and you can spot the fake events a mile off you just have to use your common sense,and if somebody constantly has there 'meet today' flag up then maybe they just have a very high sex drive or just want different types of meets on different days variety is the spice of life x

This is one thing that has happened to me a few times. When challenged, the "friend" has all sorts of excuses, like they wanted someone more local, they had to go to hospital suddenly, mother called . . etc . . .

It is one way of finding out who are really friends.

It might be that whilst they want a meet today, they just dont want to meet you and when they say we've had no offers, it means we've had no offers that we want to take up. Its not a personal thing, dont look too deeply into it, you just never know what people are particularly wanting or into that day, you just have to assume that if they havent contacted you to say yes then they are not interested on that particular occasion. I wouldnt assume it means that whoever puts a meet today request up will shag anything.

People who use the meets thing, could be down to work commitments or child commitments, couples trying to take advantage of an unexpected availability or whatever it is, they dont have to justify it, its just some people are having more fun than others thats all

i cant see why you cant have regular meets and still have standards, i meet quite regular but i wont just shag any cock that offers itsself to me, admittedly i dont put up these events or meet today add simple because i dont need to due to the amount of mail i get, but i usually meet once or twice a week and go to a club weekly and i know some will think thats to much but at the end of the day im single the only time i get sex is when i meet someone thro swinging, if i was a couple i wouldnt have the need to meet as much as id get sex at home, but i have a high sex drive that dont get anywhere near enough attention lol

but saying that i still have standards, i still have to be attracted to the person and get on with them and to be honest theres enough guys on here to have regular meets and them all be upto scratch

I agree with the above, people take responsibility for their own actions and their own swinging. I have regular meets too but that doesnt mean I drop standards at all. I wouldnt touch anyone that that was unhygienic and I look for men I am attracted to.

I dont think couples need to swing any less than singles just cos they have sex on tap though, cos like me, its not just the sex that attracts them, in fact the actual sex is a very tiny part for me, the run up to the meet, the dressing up, the actual first point of meeting and the flirting beforehand is more important. In fact the actual sex is probably the least exciting bit for me

oh we must be really frowned upon as we put ourselves on the meet list every day, since this site which we are not knocking doesnt come with a meets board like other sites we find it can be quiet as we dont like some put ourselves about on the chat rooms down to work hours.

I'm a single guy, I frequently advertise as I work from home and get a fair amount of time available. As an older person AND a single male, I don't have to tell you that the replies don't need a toilet roll to list them. I advertise in the hope I will get an invite from time to time and it's my way of saying, I'll work round a time to suit the invite.

personally I don't see what business it is of any bodies as to how people choose to run their meets or their amounts of meets!

It may well be they have more time on their hands or possibly as NN says further down a Very High Sex drive...you have the choice whether to contact them or not just as they do to advertise every day if they so choose..

and standards has nothing to do with it either...

once again it seems to me that people forget the reason or purpose of this site and I'm not going to spell it out or do I have too?

it is said that a man thinks about sex every 4 seconds (ish)...so what if they decide to advertise they're available daily...

You may be assuming that they are meeting every day because of it,but we don't know do we...

Personally, I don't use the events/meet today features of this site, and I am doubtful that I would be on the same wavelength as anyone who makes heavy use of those features.

But then again, some people would judge that I am a too-heavy-user of the chat room, and that I should spend more time shaggin'

Wish that was us, i've spent a fair amount of time today trying to get something sorted but to no avail..i think many people think that if you have the little symbol up then all normal standards go out the window!
