Long distance blocking

Was browsing the forums and spotted a profile PIC that looked interesting so went to have a look at the full profile only to find I was blocked. Now this couple must be a good 300miles away from me, no contact ever made, no chance of ever meeting so why go to the effort of blocking me? Seems a tad bizarre to me.

Was it a block or a message saying you're the wrong age, se, et.?

They could have all single men blocked. Don't know why people worry about how others use the site tools myself.

If it was that it would have been the single men are blocked message. It wasn't. And who said I'm worried about it? I just find it odd that there are people who would appear to go through the postcode searches blocking people who are too far away so I'm using 1 of the site tools to ask peoples opinions why. That OK?

There are people I kmow who pre-emptively block those they are not interested in meeting, regardless of distance. Sometimes its because you may have looked at their profile previously or because they haven't liked something you've written on a fotum post, or could be something else completely.

You think that odd? There was a couple that went through profiles and verifications to see who had met black people and blocked them. There are people who block anyone who disagrees with them on the forums: the list is endless.

There are some "strange" people on here. My point is I've stopped wondering at their strange behaviour and leave them to it!

As for the distance, people travel for their work on here so a long-distance pre-emotive block isn't all that strange.

I agree it's ever so slightly creepy when the person blocked has never contacted, had no intention of contacting, or interacted in any way shape or form with the blocker yet the blocker goes to the trouble of going to said persons profile and blocking it...

I'd hate to 'upset' these people in physical life ha ha

We block people who have annoyed us or churned our stomach on the forums regardless of distance. If they are vile or an asshole we dont ever want any contact with them and certainly wont provide them with wank material

Well blocking isn't an effort I should know I've done it loads of times and people have blocked us loads of times too.

There are loads of reasons to block and while it might appear illogical to us as the blocked its perfectly rational to the blocker

I block people from the forums. If they say something that makes me think they might private message me. Or if they say something dumb and i think "I never want you to message me."

Simple.

Looks like a strong negative reaction to one of your forum contributions is the most likely explanation...
