Interesting night at JCT2 this evening with 'Pure'. It's a new night which invites members of both the fetish community and the swingers community to the same party. Anyone ever been to something like this and what are their views on such a venture?

I think its a great idea,the 2 scenes don't always seem to mix that well and it would give those that would like to know more about either scene a chance to find out in a neutral environment

As someone that has a foot in both camps.. I think it would be great... It would also help clear up some of the misconceptions both seem to have about the other..

I have and it was a fantastic night. It was the first time we went to Abfabs. I loved the outfits, especially the "Master" who offered that I could take his gimp for a walk. The gimp was dressed head to toe in red latex and was about 6'4 (plus very high heeled shoes). I would have taken him a walk too but my guy is quite uncomfortable with the thought of anyone being humiliated, regardless of it being entirely consensual, and as I knew he'd be uncomfortable seeing me take a guy on all fours for a walk, I decided not to.

Was also a very gorgeous guy dressed like Dick Turpin too

I think events like this should be promoted. There is a lot of people that have problems with the 2 sides of kink mixing and being in the same place at the same time.

You only have to read some of the kink forums, and the swinging forums to see there is a complete lack of understanding of the other, on both sides.

Events like this can only help each side to see that we are both kinky just in different ways.

I think it would help a lot. I get so many people thinking that I must be some doormat.

HOwever fetish wear is not for me, or master. MAster does not need to wear anything to be as he is.

A lot in fetish are monogamous and do not understand how you can share the man you love. SO mixed events can help, but only if people going are a good example. LOL

We attended a fetish night at club lick a couple of years ago and although those who attended were friendly enough we were in total only about ten people (and there were 3 of us). It would take something to tempt us back there.

To be honest, I also went to a Fetish night at Club Lick, and was distinctly unimpressed.

If the night was under new ownership, then I might be willing to give it another go.

Maybe the answer would be for a bit more organisation between the two groups..

I know several couples that swing as well as maintain a BDSM relationship, but they keep it seperate mostly because of misunderstandings between the two groups.
