Sock Violation

If someone was sleeping next to you and they obviously had cold feet throughout the night because they CONTINUALLY fidgeted trying to wrap the duvet around their feet...

Waking you constantly...

And you woke up earlier than they did, found their socks and put them onto their feet while they were sleeping...

Would that be a nice and thoughtful action or rather odd and a bit of a sock violation?

I would consider that a nice thought. Sock violation to me is when one wears them odd....wearing socks inside out is a complete sock fail imo!

The problem is that once you allow socks into the bed, for any reason, you cross a line and then it's only a matter of time before you find yourself having sex with a naked person wearing socks. The ultimate low point of #firstworldproblems

Has it occurred to you that some people might find socks erotic?

Going back to the intentions, it seems that warm feet is a given, but were the motives selfless or selfish? Intention is everything when it comes to ethical issues.

The socks were removed due to refusal to carry out any sexual activity on a naked person wearing just socks. Which led to the cold feet later on.

The socks were put on the sleeping person with the cold feet. The sock violator/nice person was leaving the room anyway to go to work. Therefore good intentions as the only person benefiting from the warm feet was the sleeping person now wearing socks.

It all becomes clear! In future it might be worth considering replacing the socks immediately after sexual activity and before attempting to sleep.
