Was just about to set off to meet a couple 45 minutes away for a car meet, but they messaged me just before I set off to call it off. Don't mind at all because of the long journey, in fact thankful! Anyway what's the longest someone's travelled, only to get there and be let down?

I've fabbed a pic op, as payback. O don't generally travel, unless I'm doing something else, so haven't been let down.

With couples there is a multiplication factor, of family or each person that may have something crop up. You've taken it the right way and they did their best, by letting you know. Good lick on your next meet!

I drove for nearly an hour for a meet. Pulled up outside the house, saw the state it was in and drove home.

If I've ever had to cancel I've always made sure it's at least 24 hours before, I'd hate someone to have travelled or wasted their time

It is just common courtesy to give notice not only because of the build up ect but also financial aswell

Never been let down.

I guess a lot of profiles are game players. Met those too. I know how to work that type.

To some its a game.... Play on the vunerable.

I once travelled over an hour for a meet. Banged on the door with no answer. Assumed I'd got the wrong house but after an hour journey back feeling a bit sheepish I got a message saying the male of the couple had got cold feet and wouldn't answer the door. So annoying!

About 40 miles only to be let down. Still hotel was nice and we enjoyed ourselves. Block then move on. Time wasters are neither use nor ornament.

We didn't have a long drive, but I'd been messaging a guy for a week or so, we agreed to meet. After a long day at work, i showered put my schoolgirl gear on, hair in pig tails, red lips, kids sorted, hubby and i waited at pre arranged place.... and waited... he text saying he's coming to get us... then BLOCKED us!!!!! What was the point? It put me off for a while as it happened a few times. I am however back meeting again. Xx
