photo cropping

With probably 80% of pics on this site taken on smart phones, why dont people tidy them up before posting on here. All phones cum with basic editing software. Is it that hard to crop the pile of dirty washing out of the photo, or all the kids toys lying around. Come on people think before you post. These things can make or break your profile and chances of getting meets.

We tend to crop all our photos then put a little box around them...but we are silly like that

I look at backgrounds of photos - they tell a different story - over flowing ashtray for a non smoker, family photos for a single, an American hotel room with British plugs....

Aren't they actually doing you a favour by revealing the sort of traits that you'd be disappointed to find out later?

'Birds of a feather' has some basis so perhaps if you see well presented pics and profile that's a handy filter for you to know you're dealing with some kindred spirits?
