Messages and feedback

People who say read the profile, well no shit. Why say message something interesting or words to that affect at the end of day we are strangers as yet messaging each other doesn't alter that a great deal and how is anyone supposed to know what to write because social interaction is built on feedback eg; I say good morning in a happy mood, that means subconsciously I have given you feedback that my mood is good and I'm more than likely open to conversation and such on here if you send a generic message you get ignored. Why ignore we haven't even met. The only feedback you get is my message has been deleted which gives nothing. How can I send you a message you'll find interesting if your a stranger and never given me any feedback at all before and vice versa. I realise none of us have the time to go round meeting everyone socially, but the parameters I have to be changed, I think if I like the look of you and vice versa or something I have written. Then that should be enough. The only real feedback I have gotten from everyone on here is everyone likes sex. Anyway that's it peace and love.

Brighton - even Hove!

You're over thinking it. Read the sites FAQ. If your message gets deleted without being read or read and not replying to, think of it as a 'no thank you'. Besides which, why bother checking to see if your message has been read? What do you gain from that? Zilch, I reckon.

Chill and join in on the forums and chat rooms. Go to a social. Go to a club. Don't sit back wondering about stuff you can't change.

BSE

Use their profile- status, veris or pics- as an icebreaker. Talk about a thread they maybe on.

Use an imagination that would demonstrate you have a brain that may be able to communicate, interest and be exciting sexually.

But do it without talking about sex.

Engage brain to engage theirs. From then on you use the feedback to gauge how you interact with them.

Simples.

Carry on contacting in the way that suits you best, you won't be able to please everyone.

If you say good morning in text, how do we know what kind of mood you're in? A typical conversation starting from a good morning message on here is;

Them; Good morning

Me; Morning hun

Them; How are you?

Me; I'm good thanks, you?

Them; Yeah I'm good thanks

End of scintillating conversation!!

no it's the beginning of one that's just the introductorys a stranger won't get my creative and imaginative self through a message but I stranger I meet in person might why? Body language for one there are more ways to communicate that by words

that's fine I understand not everyone finds me sexually attractive at all and vice versa. Not replying is a no thank that's fine, but that's clearly not what I meant.

But on here its just words initially. I logged on this morning to 15 hi, hello, how are you type messages. I really don't have the time to start conversations with these people to see if there's an interest so if a message is unique and stands out over these then it will be the one I would attempt to take further, its just how it is on here, for me anyway.

if they are not attracted to me that's fine, it's understandable. What I don't like is insinuating or thinking I'm not creative or worthy or whatever because I didn't send an essay every message

but that's such a flawed system if you have 14 potential suitors picking the shiniest isn't always the best policy that's just plain logic, sometimes you have to scratch the surface

I totally agree but life, work, kids etc means I really don't have the time nor desire to have several cyber conversations that will probably lead nowhere. If a guy can grab my attention and make me laugh with an initial message then I know he's probably the type I want to meet. The fact some of the others might be I don't know because they haven't made an effort to stand out which on here as opposed to the real world, you need to do.

Then you are not creative when it comes to messaging so perhaps the insinuations of which you complain are justified?

No I have filters on and an age set that prevents people from messaging me.

I was asking which you find more frustrating, profiles like mine that you can not message or a profile which you can message, only to have it not responded too?

Quietlykinkyme .... prefer your type of profile - beats wasting time on those who want to meet '18-99' year olds ... what's that all about. Just indicates that they're lazy!

You were seeking views. I expressed mine and you disagreed which is fine. I don't need to turn on the TV for bs. There is just as much here and if someone appears unimaginative and uncommunicative on here I will not imagine them to be any different in real life. I do not understand why you complain. If you cannot make an impression here, why is it going to be any different in reality?
