Following on from the Unicorn thread... if you're not looking to meet couples, what are your reasons for doing so?

My doubts are currently not finding both halves of the couple attractive enough to have sex with them, and being treated like a performing animal... I can't balance a ball on the tip of my nose. I should know, I've tried.

Maybe some single bi females have felt this on meets .

All we can say is if it's happened to you then you should be more careful with your selection criteria

I've never felt any pressure to perform with a couple but as a previous poster has said, maybe my selection criteria is working. It is difficult though to find a 3 way attraction...!

I count myself lucky to have met and stayed in touch with some fabulous couples and we enjoy each other's company hugely.

Rings of fire...? Now that might be interesting!

Also - I get criticised by some fellow fabbers because I am one half of a couple but aswell as swinging with my hubby I also meet men, women or couples separately - all depends what mood we are in. That seems to annoy some couples and some single men too ????

I will explain a bit more - I was at a club I have visited regularly, chatting to a couple and a single guy. The couple were a couple who had only seen me with my hubby before - the conversation turned derogatory when they realised I was playing alone that day. It was unfair and unpleasant - the more I tried to explain my marital relationship the more annoyed I felt. I should have walked away sooner because they just didn't want to listen.

The single male took their side too and I went home feeling confused as to how the evening had taken such a wrong turn!

Possibly jelous as they would love to play without their partner but not secure enough to raise the subject

We play alone sometimes but only because we work apart, and Al plays with the single lady who we are extremely good friends with. I've met couples before in the past. My profile says bi curious rather than bi sexual because I can pretty much take it or leave it. Maybe I'm more bi playful.. If I'm in a situation with others, IE a club and it happens then all good.

I don't look for couples to meet. There are many reasons to this. It's hard finding a couple who I feel I'm attracted to both of them and I find it quite scary going off to meet a couple on my own. I always think that if there was a problem they have each other...I'm on my own. Who looks after me?

I love to play in threesomes with singles, but far less likely to play with established couples. I also feel like a performing animal in those situations (including with couples who say that they treat single women well).

Having said that, I play in threesomes regularly with one of my established partners. People come back time and time again to play with us, so I guess we must be doing something right. However when we play with women they're always dominant, so I guess that changes the dynamic considerably.

The main exception I make for couples as a single, is that I love to play with established M/M couples. They have a particular dynamic that I find turns me on.

I find this so interesting. I'm not in a poly relationship at all. But I do consider myself to be a sexually independent woman. Yet I have yet to meet people (outside of vanilla life) who have vocally viewed me the way you have experienced. I wonder why we would have such different experiences? Maybe it's that I haven't been doing it that long, or maybe it's a difference between the poly vs the swinging scene. I don't know. Interesting in any case.

I think very few people here would criticise you for the reasons you sited ,the people here are mostly interested in meeting for sex ,you unfortunately come across to me as a very negative person probably as a result of your life experience to this point in time ,not that you are interested in my opinion but you would probably get on better here if you relaxed your opinion a little ,I myself am not one for shying away from stating my opinion and sometimes its not popular but I learn from it and move on ,the thread about unicorns was really quite pointless unicorn is just one of those unnecessary labels like cuckold and polygamous that really mean nothing ,try and enjoy this place you'll get more out of it

But I am resourceful

I'm talking about in clubs, where people have no idea who I am. We have a chat, we make polite discussion about our lifestyles, and then people make comments like that.

I do enjoy this place, and I've met enough interesting people here to keep me coming back.

I'm sorry that you think that things that are important to me (like my sexuality and my lifestyle) are pointless. (Also it's polyamory - polygamy is illegal in the UK.)

I am bisexual and not barsexual and I tend to find that some of the woman/ couples I have met in clubs and on meets etc are only bisexual when they have had a drink. That's fine, all power to them but that does nothing for me.

For me, my bisexuality (I am not just biplayful) is a lot deeper than reaching into someone's pants and being happy with whatever I find.

For that reason I tend not to play with women/ couples in this environment.

I guess that's more to do with me then the experiences I have had.

Sex etc is very different with a woman from what it is with a man - and the physical, the emotional, the pace, the whole interaction... you can't balance both sides..

When I'm trying to play with both then neither side of me is ever going to be satisfied, because my attention becomes so divided.

And that's even before you get into the issues of liking only one of a couple, or the women who are just dabbling at it, or the couples who just plain lie about what they really want...

I understand how people can feel like a performing seal, we've been in clubs before when the lady says she is bi but clearly not. My partner is bi and will happily only play with a woman, we have had this in a club where I was only allowed to watch, it was a major turn on.

please don't tar every couple with the same brush as I'm sure there are plenty where the lady is proper bi and won't treat you like a circus animal
