Wink then delete?

Hi, I'm not sure if I'm ever gonna find out the answer to this but thought I'd ask it on here. So, on the occasional rare occasion that I get a wink from a couple, if see their profile and I may be interested I send a short and polite message. It happened the other day, as it's happened before once or twice, and my message has just been deleted. Before a wink is sent someone would normally check the profile out right? So, I/m just wondering what's kinda going wrong? Maybe the male part of the couple is seeing the profile and not liking it for whatever reason or the woman looks at profile and changes her mind? It's a free country but it just seems a bit of a turn around?

Happened to me about 2-3 times now.couples have winked at me or messaged me first then when i say thank you and message them back they just delete messages or one couple even gave me a load of abuse.of course i am not saying that all couples are like this but the short time that i have been on the site it is the couples that have been the rudest abd messed me about the most yet it is single guys that get the bad rep all of the time on the site

We get that sometimes.

Send a message back like "Hi thanks for wink, nice profile, etc" and message gets ignored.

Don't wink if you don't want a response

The "couple" might have actually have been a single guy!

ah must admit I'm glad it happens to other guys to, well that's the world of fab I guess! I really don't think it's the message we're sending though as I don't see how anyone could have an issue with a friendly, polite one. Maybe couples just send a lot and then later on can't be bothered with them. Do you not think the idea of male half possibly seeing profile after female has sent a wink might be the cause? I could add an additional topic here - do any guys ever think that maybe it's the bloke that for whatever reason doesn't like you and so you're quite literally cock blocked!

"why would a guy 'fake couple' wink guys though?"

Well if you have been here for months or years without any winks or fabs or messages, maybe been messed around by a few people, you might think "fuck it" and set up a couples profile and start messing about with others.

I think couples hold the key here and us singles just have to wait for the right couple, there's no right answer really. Good luck though for future fun.

As the lady of a couple I delete the winks we get if on reading their profile I spot anything in their profile that shows they have very different preferences to us. I wink the people I think we have most in common with. I always reply to messages but sometimes keep the reply to a short thanks but no thanks.

At a club we usually find a quick chat then a bit of sexy fun is relatively straightforward to arrange but on fabs it takes ages to find like-minded people and alot of winks and messages from us get deleted.

My point is this - patience, persistence and ability to take knock backs is necessary on fabs ......if it gets too frustrating head off to a club - once there get eye contact, be friendly, talk about what you would like to happen and have fun. Happens more naturally than on fabs because you are all in the right place at the right time! M x

Have you considered that the wink may have been sent in error ?

It's very easy to do !

Was just about to say the same, I've done it by mistake.

Don't know how you can wink someone in error, because it asks before you send "are you sure you want to send a wink"? I have managed to block people accidentally though, and would appreciate a "are you sure" button for that too!

Anyway! In response to the OP- I have winked single guys before, but when they have messaged me, realised that we probably aren't going to get on. Could be the same thing happening here? Or maybe they were perving after a few glasses of wine and winked based on pictures without having a proper read of the profile, and then in the cold light of day realised that they have made an error of judgement.. I may or may not have also done this in my time...!!!

There is no 'are you sure' button on the full desktop site. I have sent a few accidental winks from my tablet, think I have sent some accidental friend requests as well

We never wink single guys but have done so on a couple of times by accident when looking at guys who have posted in the forum.

If we do get a message in response we do apologise and explain our error.
