Neutral social meeting ground for singles

When you need to find a neutral social meeting ground in the middle of two different places, what do you do?

I google McDonalds!

They are all over the country, so makes finding a half way point easy.

They are easy to find, usually on the main road.

They have well lit car parks.

They are well lit inside so easy to spot who you are looking for.

No one bats an eyelid at a single stranger walking in.

You pretty much know the environment you are walking into… unlike picking a pub.

In the evenings they are usually fairly quiet, so it’s easy to find somewhere to sit without being too close to other people.

They don’t have loud music, so you can hold a proper conversation.

There’s no booze.

You can get a drink for under £1.

The McDonald's around here are a favourite haunt of chavs and 17 year old Vauxhall Corsa drivers who like to show off their blinged-up cars.

I find Starbucks or Costa to be a nicer location, and the drinks are tastier than the stuff you get at McDonald's - albeit they're much more expensive too

I favour meeting at big service stations on motorways and A roads, preferably with a hotel attached.

Meet in one of the eateries first, and if the mood takes us, we can retire to a room without anyone batting an eyelid, as they have seen it all before!

My favourite is Asda though the cafe area is small in Gloucester, the one in Bristol off the motorway is huge, either way i can kill two birds with one stone; meet then shop

Oh and a well lit easily accessible, unalarmed fire exit with an underground tunnel to the car park if he does turn up looking nothing like his photo...
