Why is it some couples are scared to chat on phone to,confirm I know it's way of sorting out fakes but some couples have veris and still won't chat find it very upsetting when trying to arrange a meet xxxx

I wont talk on the phone but my partner will. I don't want people to have the opportunity to call me and interrupt my life. I like nsa sex in a box (not literally, obviously) and want it in its place. I have given my number in the past and had people call or text at inappropriate times. Okay I can ignore the call, but I don't want the intrusion. I think verifications should be enough.

Our circumstances are such that we cannot risk the phone ringing at any old time. We use our "swing phone" which is only used after a meet is virtually assured using FAB messages and verifications. We phone en-route to confirm on our way and exact place etc.

I hate talking on the phone full stop.

I know I'm not a couple, but when people expect me to do this I cease contact.

One man even wanted a picture of me holding a copy of today's newspaper.

I'm not jumping through hoops for people.

I hate speaking on the phone i have a really strong accent xx i will speak via kik tho as u can record voice clips xx also i cant risk my phone going off when one of the grandies is playing on it x

I'm not willing to speak on the phone either, I hate speaking on the phone to people I don't know at the best of times and we feel we are verified enough that it's really not needed

We don't like to talk on the phone either, well Mrs doesn't and I don't mind so much, usually it's a fem to fem chat most want anyway, as said previously we are verified enough.

She says if they want to meet we'll talk then, we did try on a couple of occasions but she found it uncomfortable.

Having said all that we have been let down on 60% of the meets we have arranged and these have been with verified profiles

We will talk on the phone, but to be honest we prefer for all of us to jump on cam for a few minutes, that way everyone confirms they are who they say they are.

As the female half, I don't wish to give out my number to people I haven't met. I don't particularly want the hassle of unwanted texts or calls once someone has it and I can't be bothered to have a second phone. I've also found that having given the number that on occasion the incoming call is then from a withheld number. For us communication on Fab works just fine.

We don't talk on the phone, we are verified so its clear we are a couple, talking on the phone doesn't guarantee anything real life still gets in the way sometimes and you can't make a meet and a phone chat does nothing to prevent that

As a general rule I will not proceed with a meet unless there is some phone contact at some stage before hand. I think for woman on here this is even more important, whether looking to meet single men or couples.

Thanks for pointing out what is important - in your view - I don't call, don't cam prior to meeting - have been on fab for over 5 years, and never had a no show - but I am not a prolific meeter, and chat on here for weeks/months prior to meeting. Its horses for courses, people will find ways that work for them.

My wife flatly refuses to speak on phone unless it's with couple or someone we have met previous , it's a nerve thing I guess and she prevers others to make first move at club too , but I don't mind I always chat on phone or start the banter off in clubs

Modelling pics? I'm good at a selfie, but that's as far as it goes!

If my pics were better quality, you'd see that cellulite and stretchmarks make me as far from model material as you can possibly imagine.

I understand your point, though. I refer people who don't believe I'm just an ordinary, lumpy, suburban mummy to my verifications, which I display for ten minutes, or so.

I don't fuck anybody until I feel sure of them - that may be after one social or after 4... and they do not get my number until I feel happy to do so, so not not a funny thing at all. I'm on fab for additional fun in life, not to feel obliged to act in any particular way - if folk don't like it, they are not forced to meet me.

Hate listening to myself (f) on the phone; we give out our number but only use it to confirm that we are waiting for the others... We have verifications from people who have meet us and have pic's so what moe do people want ?

Had requests to 1st do phone sex before a meet and that is a flat no and bye ...

Veris are not a rating system... they are a statement to say that you turned up, were who you say you are, and the meet happened. Mine clearly state I'm female, and not some 22 stone fella called Jim with halitosis and BO. Thats all they need to show - anything too graphic doesn't get shown as I find that distasteful (just my view - but I'm a prude on here)"
don't mean to disillusion but people go on about fake couples and guys pretending to be women etc its so easy to create a fake profile and verify yourself ,the best way to judge someone other than meeting is on phone if conversation flows you know personality suits so just visual sense to be satisfied ,I swear by it ,plus people come and go here veris disappear here quicker than your money entering clubs

Well, if thats what works for you, I'm delighted.

In over 5 years, I have never been stood up, nor had fakes... everyone has been who they say. I've ended conversations on fab that don't feel right, and never meet quickly - I don't think a fake/timewaster is going to bother with months of chat (and not sex chat either) to then not be who/what they say... but thanks for telling me the best way, I'd be lost without someone telling me how to use fab

I agree with this.

I've been asked the newspaper thing too. I told them to find someone else to meet. If someone wants to chat on Skype to see if we get along, that's great and I am more than happy. If they demand a phone number then they can chat to someone else. Only people we have met get that, and even then not always.

We've never felt the urge or need to chat on the phone. We won't talk on the phone prior to a meet, ever, but once we meet we don't shut up! If it's carved in stone for the other person that we do chat then we won't meet them. We feel equally as strong about that.

That's just how some people prefer it.

E and I are both quite shy and HATE talking on the phone to, when all is said and done, a total stranger. We find it easier to talk face to face when we meet. We never give our phone numbers out till after a meet if at all and its never caused us an issue yet.
