I did have my single profile down as straight & when I came on here as a couple as straight cos as far as I knew I was. Various trips to clubf have changed that & it was my choice to do it, no one else's & didn't do it to please anyone.

When I started to figure it all out I changed my profile (I was on another site back then) to bi-curious and after a couple of amazing experiences changed it to bisexual.

I had a "straight' profile for years before that and here is a couple of things that I have noticed since I changed it to "bisexual";

I get more messages/meets from single women, some looking to fulfil a fantasy but many because they perceive that I have a more open and honest profile.

I get many more messages/meets from couples and they are the sort of couples that I want to play with, even if it is "straight" play. The straight couples that I have played with seemed more quietly confident and more comfortable with an MMF (even if he was straight). There were less (or no) awkward moments.

But unfortunately I also get lots of messages from "straight" single men, most though are not single. The vast majority of them tell me that their wives or girlfriends won't understand when really it's more likely the boys at the pub won't. If only they knew how many women fantasise about being with two bi men... but yes, when I get a message from a straight male I am automatically suspicious and why shouldn't I be? The profiles are always the same, no or few photos and maybe half a sentence of writing. There are plenty of bi couples, bi men and gay men that have it sorted out that I would rather play with.

The point of the forum I think is not whether straight men can have LGBTG friends on their profile. The point is men that have "straight" on their profile and actively message couples or gay/bi men for bi sex and whether they are trustworthy as a result of hiding their sexuality on an anonymous swinger site.

If you have LGBTG friends on your profile, more power to you. This forum isn't about your right to choose your friends.

I didn't ignore anything. Your original post was not clear. I pointed that out to you. You then tried to say that I had accused you of being homophobic, which I hadn't. I quite clearly said that what you had posted sounded like you were saying that straight people who had gay and bi people as friends were liars. I stand by that statement. Your original post did read like that was what you were saying. I have to wonder whether your overly aggressive posts to mine in reply are not because you realise this yourself.

We all have different ways of filtering people we wouldn't want to ever meet. I find the forums are a very good way of filtering out arrogant, overly aggressive, small minded people who can neither understand simple posts written in plain English, express themselves concisely, or can't make their points without resorting to calling other people either stupid, bullshiters or liars just because they see things differently from them.

My original post was quite clear enough for anybody who didnt wantbto twist it to suit their own agenda thank you. I like you also use the forums to filter out people who lie, people who have lifestyles or _iews we cannot agree with, or downright arrogant people because nothings less attractive than arrogance. No, your original post was not clear. If it had been I would not have mis understood it. I didn't twist anything you said I simply pointed out to you how it might be read by some and was being read by me. You then decided to throw your dummy out of your pram. I think, if you're going to come on an adult site you need to start acting like an adult. That includes not getting abusive with people who either don't agree with you or mis understand your un clear and badly written posts. Also learn to control your totally uncalled-for anger. Try treating people with respect, even when you don't think they deserve it, and you might find people listen more to what you have to say.

Or maybe stuff like if they are married (ok some people might not care but if they do they have a right to know) if they have had STD's, if they have a personality disorder that could make them turn violent. Im not saying any of these are the case with everyone who lies about sexuality but the point is they could be. So if they are dishonest about something which in this day and age really doesnt matter, whose to say they aint lying about things that do matter. If you have more faith in people and are happy to go along to meets not giving a damn if they are who they say, good for you. But I guess Im a bit more cynical and protective of myself and my partner so I use every means I can to vet potential meets and dishonesty earns them a block everytime!!

Where did I attack you. I simply said that your post sounded like you were saying that straight people can not have bi or gay friends, which is the way I read it. When you clarified that that was not what you meant I accepted that. It was you who went on the attack, calling me stupid and a 'pc bullshiter'.

You seem to show the classic signs of a bullying character. Overly aggressive, insulting and then dismissive to anyone who either challenges or disagrees with you. To me those are far worse traits in a person than someone not feeling fully comfortable about disclosing their sexuality.
