Female Lower Back Tattoos

Do guys find lower back tattoos sexy on girls.

It just seems they are such common place now adays.I saw a girl at Christmas in a long low back evening dress and it looked stunning and classy, because she had no marking on her back. Do girls have it done because they think we like it, or do they think its sexy. What is nicer seeing a lovely pale unmarked skin on a girl or a tattoo with a thong pulled up. Also all these girls are going to get old so are we going to have a nation of grannies with tattoos in nursing homes.

Girls this is not a criticism just an observation:

i dont have a tattoo on my lower back but i do have them, im in the middle of having a sleave done, lots of people dont like it, they say it to much for a woman but if im going to be honest with you ive not had any because i think men like them, nor have i had them because i think they sexy, im having it for me because i like it, and to be honest i really dont care what other think

i really like to see heavily tattooed guys, so long as they well done ones, not just a mish most of prison tattoos lol i love to see guys with full sleaves etc i find it odd meeting guys who dont have any, some see them as a deface of your body i see them as body art and id much prefure my meets to have them than not

at the end of the day its each to their own, if you dont like women with tattoos dont meet them its that simple

not quite sure where your connection with tattoos and pulled up thongs comes from tho lol

P.S tattooed men will get old too you know

Nothing wrong with a nice large piece of inkwork. What I personally dislike are those tiny items that women tend to get on their shoulder, boob or upper arm.

They remind me of stick on transfers you got as a kid.

That isn't artwork, that was done for fashion and to line the tattooists pockets with easy money.

Yep: I can see women permanently marking their skin to please a man!

I don't like tattoos. Two of my daughters have lower back tattoos and across their shoulders. The younger of the two has a large Aztec sun around her naval with a piercing in the middle: classy?!! Yeah...right!

They want more done: I just keep my own counsel as they're adults and it's their bodies, but I think back on the gallons of olive oil and Johnson's baby lotion I've rubbed into their beautiful skin only for them to cover it in ink!

Sigh...

My tat was done on the top of my back between my shoulder blades so that it shows off when wearing strapless or dresses and tops show off the back.

Just adds that je ne sais quoi. x

I have the obliglitary 'tramp stamp' at the bottom of my back. Not one part of me got it done for any mans benefit. I couldn't care less whether anyone thinks it looks good or sexy.

I don't regret that tattoo but I got it done at 19 and didn't put a lot of thought into it, I'm looking to get some more work done around it to incorporate it into a bigger peice.

I have a large tattoo at the top of my back, in the middle of my shoulder blades. Again I love it, it's my own design and very personal. Whether any of the men we meet through here find it attractive or not is really of little importance to me.

I'd love more but I can't carry them off that well. I prefer big pieces, other than lots of tiny tattoos but that's my taste and not everyone elses. Kat Von D is, IMO, one of the hottest girls around but I'd look awful with that many tattoos.

I have two tattoos, one is a smal rose on my shoulder, yes like someone commented above, a fashion thing, it is small and its ok, I dont get to see though lol. I have a white lily on my foot, which I do like. Yeah its pretty and girly, maybe hardened tattoo lovers wouldnt like it, but i do, Im a girl who likes to wear girly shoes like diamante gold ankle straps, things like that, and the tattoo looks nice with those type of shoes.

I probably wouldnt have any more, if I did I would spend a lot of money, book a year in advance and go to a fab tattoo studio in New York where all the tattoos are drawn freehand and the artist is brilliant, have seen his work in his studio and its gorgeous. I believe that tattoos are for life and you should spent a lot of money getting exactly what you want, tattoo removal is far too expensive and not always that successful, so spend time thinking about it first.

I wouldnt get any on my arms or legs or my boobs or bum. I have seen women and men who have a lot of really good quality tattoos and they do look fantastic

I have two, both of which can be hidden when I choose, one is on my hip/arse and the other is on my foot.

I want another on the inside of my wrist but I can't decide what to get.

It's addictive but I'm also of the thought that too many tattoos on women aren't attractive however, I also appreciate that I didn't get mine done for any other reason than because I love them. I designed them myself and they're ace. I don't give a hoot what anyone else thinks.

And with any luck... I'll be in some nursing home with my tattoos, piercings and purple hair causing mayhem with the rest of the old dears and giving even less thought to what anyone else thinks.

So there!

You go Dirty Girl!

It's thrown about so much this 'what about when you're old' thing. So what? We're all going to get old, hopefully, and what difference is a couple of tattoos going to make to that?

If anything it'll be nice to catch a glimpse of them and remember the good ol' days!

yeah i agree with that, i dont think tattoos are nice or sexy but well done ones are, ive seen people with some right poor quality and bodge jobs, i dislike small tattoos, more so on boobs thats why all mine are big pieces, ive had some right mixed feedback from people over the sleave, its only on my upper arm at the moment the lower arms yet to be done, its maori design and have to be honest so far im loving it lol some think its ace ive had a few women say i wish i had the balls to have that done, but other dont like it, i had one guy who was very heavily tatooed himself tell me i looked horrible and women shouldnt have them

id sooner have big pieces than small girls ones, some women do just want a butterfly on the shoulder, its what you like and what makes you mappy that counts

I'll be honest and say i'm not really a fan, but each to their own, live & let live etc.

The concern i DO have is with it being so fashionalbe these past few years, young people will get tattoos without really thinking about it enough & may regret it later.

I had some fabby new romantic clothes in the 80's, but i'd look & feel like a dick if i was wearing them now.

2p worth, no more, no less.

I have a lot of tattoos, some little pieces, but not the traditional "girly" tattoos. They are all my own design, and all mean something to me.

My main back piece is a work in progress, I'm hoping to get that finished this year, being financially stable again. It will cost in the region of £300.

I had my tattoos done for me, never once have a I thought, Oh I'm getting this done for a man. Even the tramp stamp I have is a personal one off design.

i agree with that, i had some really daft ones when i was younger which as a adult i hated with a passion, i have had two large pieces to cover up silly old ones, because i like the bigger pieces that are around now days plus they hide my embarrassing ones lol

i have five tats at the mo, including a tramp stamp, which hurt the most, but I always get complimented on it when it is revealed.

all my tats mean something to me and mostly have the same theme, apart from the one on my tum which I will have covered one day when I can find a design big enough!

as for getting old, one of my friends was joking a while back that the flower on my back will be a and the ivy around my arm will have died by the time i'm old! i don't care, i've never had a tattoo for anyone else and like _irtygirl, i plan to shock in the nursing home!

it is always best to have a tattooist recommended. i would love a big one on my shoulder by the guy who did my ivy, but waiting time with him is almost a year now.

Have one tattoo - and yes , it is on my lower back ! Didn`t have it done til I was 36 , and was designed by Mr Lippy , so it`s a very personal one . When we`re all old and grey tattoos will be quite commonplace on our generation , so actually won`t be out of place at all as society is constantly changing and it will be seen as the norm . Personally , think I`ll still be in my jeans , heels and red lippy when i`m 90 ! lol x

I'm not bothered either way but do appreciate the work and skill that goes into a good tattoo.

However, the Celtic type arse antlers seem to have been a fashion item.....like Uggs.

The trouble is they remain even though the fashion dies out.

I wonder if they only lasted a year, how many women would have them re done?

I have a tiny tramp stamp tatt - I had it done in the run up to my 40th, just for me - it's a little wiggly line type one. I chose it's size and location because I can choose who sees it - it's not a place often on show.

I like women with full sleeves. Better still, one full sleeve and no other tatts on her at all. Only seen it the once, but the contrast was incredible, she could go from a nice demure innocent looking thing to being a wholly different exotic creature just by taking her jacket off. If she starts getting the odd one ghere or there now, it will kill the effect, IMHO, unless she has the other arm done. She stays out of the sun, and "feeds" her arms with some oils to stop the artwork fading and stretching too much.

The worst thing is when a woman defaces (so to speak) her arse with a tattoo. I've seen the most beautiful backside ruined with a single tattoo of Mickey fucking Mouse, utter vandalism.

Only my personal views BTW, if you are proud of your ink, good for you, you're the one that has to wear it.

I like tattoos if they're tasteful, artistic and done to a high standard. A dodgy, tacky tattoo can look awful.

How about this...? A friend had an inscription in Chinese during a trip to Hong Kong. He believed he was getting "Mind, body, karma and soul" tattoo'ed onto the back of his shoulders. About 3 years after having the tattoo he was informed by a friend who happened to be Chinese informed him that it actually read..." I am a stupid, gullible, white, round-eyed cunt"

There is a lesson here... Be careful if you have a tattoo abroad

Some are ok...but chinese scribble or 'chers signature' on the underside of the end...or any 'trendy' tatts...nah not for me..and big ones down the arm can look really butch..which is fine if your a lesbian...but none too spicy if you are a librarian.

Beckham started a lot of the chav ones off..now people have them cos they 'want to look individual'...but they dont, cos eveyone else is the same, bit like the punk thing in the 70's..

Give it a few years and you will see the celebs tatts disappearing..either because they are henna ones or they can afford expensive laser work...

I havr just one tattoo... yes in that place... but - it is of a tiger and snake. I wanted it done for about 2 years before i got the guts to get it done, which was about 6 years ago now. I did want a snake coiling round my belly button then weaving down to my bits, with a forked tongue going either side of my clit - but mr sticky didnt want someone manhandling me, as i am kinda really sensitive there. i am heavily tattooed... full back and sleeves... i got them for myself and no one else.

If people find it hot then great

If they don't... i don't really care

It's a personnel thing...

A fire bird and 'blessed' in thai script. Both hidden even in a bikini! Love them, very much for me and i think...quite tasteful. Heard that the average 'life' for liking a tattoo is 3 years...anyone regretted it before that?

Tattoos for most people are personal all 8 of mine are :P

I have never went into a tattoo shop and said oh i know i will get **** on my **** because men will find that sexy we all know they are permanent and dont rub off in the bath each 1 of mine is special to me and personally if someone doesnt like them then they are not the right person for me x

I got my first ink this year, only took me 6 years to buck up the courage

I have 2 more planned, god knows how many years it will take me to get them.

I agree tats should be done for your own personal reasons, don't agree with people going in and picking of a board " I will have number 78 please!"

When I had my tat done, the women asked which way I wanted it to face (on my left wrist) I said towards me of course, its for me to read not for others. You defo get the bug
