I was on my own at a club on Friday night (Quest in Leeds) and was struck by what a retro feeling it is being at the bar without my phone. These days if I'm ever in a pub/bar on my own I just play on the mobile but on Friday, it felt like being back 20 years when the mobile world didn't exist.

I loved it. At least that way I had to chat to people (I'm usually a bit shy at first) and so made the connections for a fulfilling night.

Anybody else get this? I think it's a rule I'll start applying outside of clubs as well now!
