Yeah, i'd keep your distance on that one - you'd be in for a world of trouble/awkwardness if you got involved in any way, given how you know each other.

If she's just came out of a relationship it seems she's just on a bit of a rebound thing and not thinking straight.

Not a good idea at all, heh!

Tell her to behave herself!!

Or go for it and ruin your relationship with your son.

Whatever.

Back off OP she's maybe 17 but come on how many of us at that age where really mature and truly grown up able to handle the consequences of our actions with out running home at the first sign of trouble,

My emotions at that age where all over the place my guess is hers will be to so as the adult you have no choice but to try and protect her from herself by not going there in my opinion .

For God's sake man, you're old enough to be her Grandad, do you REALLY need us to advise you???

Start thinking with your big head, not your little one!!!

"I thought it said it was his sons gf friend not his sons gf.yes I thought that."

Does it actually matter WHICH 17 year old it is? Surely the fact that she is 17 is the main thing, whether she is his sons girlfriend, sons girlfriend's friend or the next door neighbour - she is a teenager and he is a man in his 50's!

What you see as her "coming onto you" and flirting is probably just her being friendly and nothing more.

Do not go there.

1 It is my sons girlfriends, friend.

2 It is a true story.

I have told her that I am very flattered but she is far to young for me. But I just wanted to see what others would have done.

Thanks all

OP I suspect a lot are people posting in here have never been put into the position you were put it .

Its never easy rebuking unwanted advances and doubly hard when its one so young as you don't want to hurt then as their so young new to the adult world in a lot of ways .

Good on you for doing right thing by this young girl.

My sons 17 year old friend has been messgeing me all kinds of rude stuff and likes anything I put on FB (my son knows nothing btw) but I NEVER respond to him, he's got the message now. I can't block him or delete him btw, my son would ask why!!

Be flattered, enjoy the attention, be kind and attentive so as not to upset her or make her feel silly, but act like the mature man you are and stay well away. How would you like a sex crazed middle aged man taking advantage of your daughter simply because she had a crush on him?
