Who's responsible? Part Deux

Ok...safe sex folks...lots of conversations about whether you bareback or not and the question pops up about who should provide the condoms.

Now, bearing in mind that these things are free from the family planning clinic, it's not tricky for either party to provide, but I'm flumoxed by the "i assume" comments that are made...or the "i expect" ones too..does no-one discuss this issue before a meet?

do you assume the other party will provide?

if we are going to employ safe sex, should that not be high on the list of priorities in terms of 'things to discuss' ahead of the meet?? (talking of sex meets here, not just coffee meets!)

Its always great to bring the awareness of safe sex and I always have plenty of condoms stashed at home and in my bag. Lol when I was out on a vanilla night last week was surprised how many was not carrying condoms with them. I was handing them out in the ladies loo.

I was shocked most people out on work piss ups and how many do you think were prepared just incase of sex. People were coming in to use the machine and as usual was not working. Do you think vanilla clubs should have condoms behind the bar just like swinger clubs. How many stds and unwanted pregnancies happen. On a night of d*unken madness.

the machines should be checked regular and made sure there full and working, it would be a good idea if they did sell them behind the bar BUT if its a local for that person some may be embarrassed to go and ask

I remember going to clubs years ago on gay nights and they always used to have a table with free condoms on so could just help ourselves

I'm responsible for me. I take my own and I use my own. That way I'm as safe as I can be. However, at the rate I'm going the sell by date will come round before the sex!

I never carry condoms on a night out as the thought of seeing someone I fancy and want to shag there and then over my chicken tikka masala and Cobra beer is totally alien to me.

On the rare occasion I go clubbing it's with a group of girlfriends who would find sex with strangers abhorrent. A girlie night out is just that: a girlie night out and male advances are not welcomed.

I always provide my own condoms as I'm allergic to latex so have latex free ones in various sizes. I also always put the condom on and make sure it's the right fit.

Personally I struggle to understand why someone would rely on a casual encounter to provide something so important. Then again I struggle to believe that anyone who leaves home with the sole intention of getting hammered and shagging the first thing that takes their fancy would have the wherewithal to use the condom anyway: but that's just me!

as its YOUR safety you are concerned about it is YOUR responsibility to take along protection be you male or female.

if both of you turn up with protection its not going to be an embarrassing situation is it?? not like turning up to a party in the same dress or something lol

the guys we have met have always had condoms, one guy had a roll of them, about 20, I dont know what the bloody hell he was expecting lol but we take our own too. I dont have a latex allergy as I am ok with wearing latex gloves, but some condoms make my lips and tongue sting. If a guys been wearing a condom and I take it off to suck him, then sometimes my tongue and lips feel the size of a cows. Hate the taste of condoms on a guy, but sadly this is one thing that just has to be

hahaha...you're quite correct though, there are more embarrassing things that can happen than too many condoms!

O o O oo

Safe sex always gets discussed before we even decide to meet, but until now not who was supplying the condoms as we like to supply our own.....happily the men we have met have brought their own too.

I always carry out of shameless optimism lol

The plus side is that you have a brand with you that you know is good. Went to a meet a while back and picked up some new ones from a sex shop on the way. Now, i'm not trying to boast or anything like that but the way they were so tight it acted as a torniquate was a great contraceptive lol

Durex only from now on... lol

peak district

We always have plenty of condoms and lube on the bedside tables when we have home meets. We wouldn't think of going anywhere where sex is on the menu without them; in clubs we both have a supply, for when we get separated.

As for taking them to work xmas parties, can understand people not intending to have sex but getting carried away, have noticed the condom machines getting heavy use at party time!

I always carry/supply my own.

I don't like the smell of latex, hence I like to use latex-free ones.

Newcastle and Gateshead

I am always take both latex and non-latex ones with me on meets and to clubs just in case... that way no excuses....

saying that I am always surprised by the amount of men who don't take them to clubs... and when they are told fuck off, then look at me as if to say "can i nab one of yours"

piss poor preparation produces piss poor performances...
