So Hurt...Fake User! So angry

I am so deeply hurt and angry!

I'm new to this site! I thought I'll come on here to experience something new.

I was speaking to a woman on here for about a week, she seemed genuine and we shared loads of pics. But! I found it suspicious that she would not cam with me....even after we proved together we were genuine.

So, today she said she was going to cam. When she went on cam, she looked very different from her profile! she said it was the bad camera (yeah right!).

I then told her to "put your middle finger up"..as most of you know, fake people tend to prerecord videos and put this on cam. She knew of this, and blocked me from FAB, everything.

I don't know what to do. I thought this person was genuine.

hey sweety you're lucky it wasn't a guy finding women to meet on here is the most difficult ,I had a friend on here who treated me abysmally but she was ultimately looking for a woman she's been here six months and hasn't met

A lesson learnt.

Not in anyway laying any blame on your door step, but take from this that in the future you may be wise to get a quick cam chat, fully clothed and it needs only be for a couple of minutes, before you get too invested with the person behind the profile.

I didn't want to cam to do anything dirty lol... and I knew that some people are reluctant to cam so I didn't push her for this.... but I just wanted to see if she was genuine...even a nice chat fully clothed and luckily I was clothed when she saw me.

We were talking for a week...if she didn't like what she saw, I would of guessed she would of stopped talking to me and I didn't show myself..well my face...on cam to her...incase she was fake.

It's simple , don't get into the pic swapping and cam malarkey .

If someone is genuine they will meet , yes meet in real life .

Arrange a coffee date , daytime , and take a friend just in case to ensure all is good .

You are being very sensible about this. I never, ever send any photographs over the internet which could identify me

With females or couples (and sometimes guys too) I ask to have a (fully clothed) conversation on Skype webcam. The moment I start hearing excuses such as "don't have a webcam" (and she is using a smartphone or tablet), I just stop exchanging messages

Having said that, I have met several people who are the gender (or couple) they claim to be

Don't give up; just do what you have been doing and you will get to meet the type of person you are looking for

I never send people naked pics, and any that I wouldn't want associated with me in real life don't show my face, in all my face pics I am clothed.

Just remember if you don't want to chance a pic of you being made public DON'T put it on the internet or send it to a stranger.

Sites like this will always attract fakes. From picture hunters to people abroad trying to access your bank account.

Sadly the only thing to do is not to give too much away until you meet in person. Always be on your guard and assume everybody is fake. For this reason we only swap face pics, no nudity shared. If we meet then they get to see us naked for real.

As we all know this world is ruined by sick individuals .I've; not been here even a month but I know of two women who have left this world and the pursuit of their fantasy because they fell foul of a sick individual who well best not to say as that would be a breach of trust by me .

I've been playing in this world for a few years so I'm wise to a lot of stuff but the sick individuals out there don't pray on experienced people they pray on newbies , because newbies are by the fact their new not to wise and very trusting .

I disagree with the above statements.

If you can see yourself getting out there I can highly recommend starting going to clubs. Leave the Internet for a bit, it's mainly timewaste, and nothing else.

In clubs you get the social side immediately, and if you can go as a single women then more seasoned club-goers will go out of their way to make you feel comfortable, just tell them you are new to all this.

Whatever you choose, good luck with it, and sorry you had a bad experience.

This person tried to fake it by running a streaming video and the OP sensed that within seconds

Even if someone is clever enough to tie in thousands of computers into to neural network and use a program similar to the one developed by Eugene Goostman and generate life-like animation, chances are that 66% of people will not be fooled

I remain fully clothed and do not discuss topics of a sexual nature. If someone is running a video stream I wonder how they would know when in the conversation to reply to an innocuous query like, "so, did you too get delayed on the Jubliee line this morning"?

Even if someone is clever enough to tie in thousands of computers into to neural network and use a program similar to the one developed by Eugene Goostman and generate life-like animation, chances are that 66% of people will not be fooled

I remain fully clothed and do not discuss topics of a sexual nature. If someone is running a video stream I wonder how they would know when in the conversation to reply to an innocuous query like, "so, did you too get delayed on the Jubliee line this morning"?"

Far less concerned about the ease of faking than the ease of recording, really.

If you are happy to have some perverted oddball recording footage of you responding to 'innocuous' queries then good luck to you, but that's not for us.

We were basically communicating via kik and kik tells you if the picture is from the persons gallery, or taking from the kik camera.

Her pictures she took, had that kik camera on them... Which told me that she took her pictures right then and there from the kik camera as opposed to getting a picture from the gallery.

She knew I was genuine as I'm verified on here.

Yes I was fully clothed in the cam... Didn't show my face... Well the pictures I sent to her never showed my face and my body... But still...

I could instantly tell that the video was fake. She looked very different from her pictures and the video did not seem real... Like pixelated... Like it's been recorded. I instantly told her to do an odd command... Like shake your head up and down... And she immdediantly switches off the cam, blocks me from FAB.

If a webcam can be faked with a recording then why can't the same be done with the phone? Seems to me that would even be easier as there are no visual cues either

Only way to be certain is to meet socially. But then if the 'woman' is a guy, then he simply won't turn up and I would have wasted time getting ready and travelling back and forth for nothing

On the other hand, he may turn up and not announce himself and just watch. Scary as then I am being watched by someone without knowing who he is

Nah, I'll stick with Skype webcam. I don't even have to give a number out; just a hotmail email address which I keep for this purpose

You meet in a coffee shop, public bar, you chat and get a feel for someone. You take it too the next level again use a public place like a hotel.

Have a friend as a safety net, a text/call away.

Above all trust your instinct ~ if you haven't got that then I'm not too sure you're ready for all this.

Well I'm a newbie on this site. I trusted someone and they do that to me. I find it very hard to trust someone. I'm not hurt.... I'm angry and disappointed in myself that I should of listen to my guy instincts. Oh well. Life goes on.... I'm not going to allow that one stupid experience get the better of me.

After reading through the whole of this post I'm reminded of all the things I hate about this world .All the suggestions on how to spot a sick individual Skype calls the lot are great ideas but the fact remains that no one should have to do any of these things .

We should be able to exchange phone numbers with out worry of harassment or worst if things don't pan out .we should be able to swap pictures with out worrying they will be plastered all over the internet cam with someone with out worry its being recorded for later use or to be uploaded to some site on the web.

We shouldn't have to worry about being stalked or worse by someone we meet .....no should mean no and be respected .

Like I said this post has reminded me of that I hate about this world and why its so hard to form friendships.

When everyone has to be guarded because let's be honest here the sick minority are forcing us all to have to behave in a more guarded way than we normally would to protect ourselves.

The minority are the sick individuals but this minority makes us all less believing more cynical of those we come into contact with. which if the truth be known makes it harder to have fun as we put hurdles in the way to try and out the sick individual..

In the end we spend just as much time trying to foil sick individuals from tricking us as we spend on actually having fun .

A state of affairs that I for one find very sad and a fact of life when looking for fun exciting meets i'd rather do with out if I could .

She is photo-verfied. Having said that, a number of people have stated that verification photos can be faked. I've heard that one can even have fake boobs

I think I'm dealing with a couple at the moment. They're fully verified couples/single female profiles but in reality run by blokes out to collect pictures of other unsuspecting blokes. You can never pin them down for a drink, or to cam, or to pull a certain pose in pictures, they're always dodging.

Oh, and by the way, defocussed and blurred images can very easily be reversed using a simple algorithm. How did you think image stabilisation on digital video is accomplished; through black magic?

Need to say though that refusing to cam shouldn't be seen as suspicious. We don't cam because it's not our thing and because we prefer to blur our faces in anything posted online (which webcam sessions can be if the other party records them), we are totally genuine though!

Got to agree with this, we wont cam to anyone and only ever send one clothed pic to requestors this in itself usually put the fake pic collectors as they usually become abusive when we wont send more, it works for us we are genuine as our veris proove

And if you understand whats involved with recording webcam youd understand its easy to find iits being recorded, Bev is well aware how it works and looks at their pc to ensure they are not running recording software as she chats to me over their webcam when there . So thatcreally dispells your smug smartass comments and 3 smiley faces of gloating really, suppose you think your the only pc aware person on fabs !!

One runs a sub-routine and not the recording features of the cam software

You won't send a non-blurred fully clothed photograph but are happy with your wife having sex with strangers and being recorded in a video using trojan routines

Upto you what you and your wife do but your advice on security isn't worth the electrons you have wasted; good luck with your security

A smartass mot picking holes in peoples posts is what makes us feel so much better particularly one that believes they are an authority on all they comment when actually they know nothing other than what they assume to be correct.

Why not just comment on the topic being discussed rather than looking for faults in what others say, obviously you were miserable as a child and enjoyed upsetting others id assume

Whenever people start resorting to personal attacks instead of hard evidence is when they've lost the plot completely

Webcam broadcasts can be very easily recorded. There are tons of shareware routines to download. Got to be careful though as these themselves sometimes contain bootstrap code. Replay Telecorder just one for Skype and runs in background

Similarly, re-arranged pixels (defocussed or blurred images) can very eaily be restored, even when saved as GIFs. With JPG, one can use deconvolution software. One such free software is unshake but to get really good results a commercial package is needed

People do what makes them happy; but beware of the consequences

"I am so deeply hurt and angry!

I'm new to this site! I thought I'll come on here to experience something new.

I was speaking to a woman on here for about a week, she seemed genuine and we shared loads of pics. But! I found it suspicious that she would not cam with me....even after we proved together we were genuine.

So, today she said she was going to cam. When she went on cam, she looked very different from her profile! she said it was the bad camera (yeah right!).

I then told her to "put your middle finger up"..as most of you know, fake people tend to prerecord videos and put this on cam. She knew of this, and blocked me from FAB, everything.

I don't know what to do. I thought this person was genuine."

Hahaha, never believe anyone is genuine until you have met them days e to face.

52 weeks ago this happened, I hope you have grown a thick skin and realised fab isn't always what is seems.
