Love that word hubby. Whenever I am out in a public and people say Hubby I wonder if they mean what they are actually saying and are letting something slip about their marriage LOL.

What do you think knowing what we know.

We are wondering the same thing.

We have been on the scene a few years & have never heard of the term "hubby" used in reference to swinging.

Op please let us into this secret language .....

What I was trying to say is don't you think that the word hubby is becoming a bit of a word with a double entendre. It is obviously an old term of endearment rather like say george and mildred where the man is a bit down trodden LOL, or in swinging circles means the woman is cucking or hot wifing their partner. So if someone calls their partner hubby in a vanilla situation are they hinting that there might be something else going on.

It's a bit like Gay used to mean someone who was happy and care free but became a term for homosexuality. Can you see my point.

Not even Urban Dictionary (often my saviour on here) gives that definition!

Exactly!

Hubby is just a shortening of Husband, always has been as far as I'm aware. Has been used that way by everyone I know and has been for as far back as I remember.

So if you think it is a swinging code word you may get a frosty stare if you go upto someone in a pub and ask for a shag thinking they are swingers

I overheard a mate in the pub saying he worked with slag so I asked him for her phone number and it turns out that it is something to do with him working in a boiler room power plant

I think naughty ladies have confirmed my suspicions I will carry on perving at the thought with impunity and suggestion all you hubby's out there do the same or......... perhaps not as it may incur the wrath of the rolling pin.

I have been around the scene on and off for 10 years and have never heard the term hubby used for cuckold.

Hubby is short for husband, that's all.

I call Paul hubby but he's certainly not cuckold!

Well there you go then. It was just a bit of light hearted fun, but it does make you think how words alter over time and if you type in hubby in search forum nearly all the threads bring up cucky stuff too.
