Had a meet planned with a couple, and I was badly let down. Now just back home after a 2 hour round trip.

Are we allowed to name and shame in the forum?

Its happened to me a couple of times so you have my empathy.

Dont mind being let down,that's life, but hate the lack of respect when your left hanging.

Of course it could have been a single guy with no sexual imagination tugging himself off

And if someone says they want to travel quite a way to see me I offer to have a Skype chat with them first. So they know I am real

I made a new connection a few days ago...I offered my mobile number straight away so he knew I wasn't fake.

Since then we have spoke quite a few times and now he is wiling to travel to me,

You just need to do due diligence and not think with your liitle head

Normally I'm a very considered, measured man but didn't do enough due diligence. Been texting and whatsapping so was operating on good faith.

You live and you learn. Guess I'm going to have to make do with a rum and instead tonight

Oh and he is in Northampton! I would have been willing to travel to him as well....but not without verifying as much as I could have before hand so just treat it as lesson learnt and next time think with your normal head

It's happened to me on a second meet. Drove an hour after work, messaging each other a few times right up until 20minutes before. He didn't show!

There's never a guarantee.

Yes it is, but due diligence does pay off and lets you know whether to meet outside your area!

I've done quite well with no shows only had two in all the years I've been doing this, one single guy and one couple you can do your best to out the time wasters but the odd one can still slip through

Not a no show granted but I had a guy I've met before cancel our meet because he'd had a better offer
