I love it Either through a message on here, or in 'real life' when out and about.

I thought men didn't like women making the first move because it makes them less appealing. 'Too forward' or something.

I love it when a woman makes the first move. They don't do it often but very good when they do

Scarlet - i think there are first moves...and then there are first moves Done the right way, it's hugely flattering.

I'd say generally meets are more likely to happen on here if the woman has made the first move - shows she's interested for a start.

So, please, ladies feel free to make the first move!

That's what I was told when I asked a guy out once.

Maybe they just like it for a shag?

Depends on the person as most things do. I prefer forward women not just for a shah but in general.

Nothing wrong with women more forward. Men are damned if they are and damned if they don't. Perhaps first approaches ought to be more equal, but I still think most women wait for the man to make the first move. It needn't be like this, we're all here for the same reasons, so no need for "shyness" surely?

Just check out reasonably early that the woman making the first move really is a woman....

I am of the philosophy of 'If you don't ask, you don't get!'

Whats the worst that can happen! Someone tells you, you aren't their type- ah well.

Neeeext!!

Generalising here but think guys like forward women only when it comes to casual sex. Otherwise, they like to play the hunter.

Nothing worse, from my perspective, then a passive woman.

There has to be an energy sparked from positive friction to stimulate the sapiosexual senses

Damn alliteration has taken over

Nothing wrong with women making the first move.I've had a few ladies make 1st contact on here, sometimes it led to something but usually not.It didn't make me think badly of them at all,why would it?

Reply privatelyReply in forumReply +quote

There's a big difference between "Ello love wanna fuck me?" and totally abstaining from any contact with men.

When a woman simply says "hi" and flirts a little its wonderful. Just expressing an interest isn't crass and off putting or too forward... it's bloomin wonderful I think that's what the OP is on about

If I waited for men to make the first move my life would be very boring. I think the majority of the time I make the first move. Doesn't bother me at all if a guy says no thanks.

That's why I adore you fabster guys!

The traditional bullshit 'rules' of ladies shouldn't make the first move. Ladies will put off guys if they are sexually assertive. Doesn't apply in here.

I even came up against this in my 20's going out 'sharking' on a Saturday night round town!

Love the world of swinging

This is an interesting topic.

My understanding was that men message the women and the women wade through the messages and delete 99.9% of them.

A friend said I should message men myself. I said it would feel wrong. She persuaded me that as it's a swinging site, and as a woman I know what I want, I need to go after it. Not wait for the right things to show up in my inbox.

Now I haven't tried a full 'search and message' campaign, but I did message someone because they looked really interesting.

And bugger me it's worked Plus he said he'd wanted to message me but was nervous to!

Forget the rules, message lovely men

Ive tried this before and got my message deleted, no reply. Also, recently friended someone id met before and I sent a wink yesterday and he took me off his friends list. Strange behaviour, seeing as how he was asking to meet me for sex last week.

It's great when women make the first move. I'm hopeless at telling if ladies are interested or not and don't want to appear pushy.

I'm sure after this post my inbox will be inundated........

I'm too shy to make the first move in real life. Stems from lots of rejection growing up during my teen years in the Philippines and being an "ugly duckling" as beauty there is a singular ideal.

I'm probably braver to make a move on here.
