Feeling really down and very peeved.

Had a meet arranged for tonight with a first time couple. We have been messaging each other all week and was under the impression that they were really looking forward to it.

Have just checked their profile and they have blocked me.

No dont get me wrong, if you read my comments in another thread,you will see that I completely understand and accept that couples have the right to change their minds.

What annoys me is that I would have made my bed and have been sitting in my living room worrying about them being in a car crash or something.

A simple message, even a lie saying the cat had been run over would have been appreciated

Do you have a contact number? If so drop them a text just to check they haven't hit the block button by accident (I can confirm it does happen). If they don't reply then you've had a lucky escape from a couple who were going to stand you up. Block and move on.

Everyone has the right to change their minds ... not just couples. And everyone has the responsibility to offer you an explanation. They have just assumed they can do what they please and you have to fall into line. Lucky escape for you I think

Sorry that you've been disappointed, you do have your answer in a way but I agree a simple message would have been polite. It's no comfort I know but this does happen the other way round too.

if they are a first time couple as you say maybe they don't have the experience in turning people down

maybe they wasn't sure what to say so found it easier to block you

we were all new and we learn as we go along

Don't be daft. Everyone changes their bedclothes before a meet (or should do!) I assume you don't change your bed clothes daily, yet I am sure your bed isn't full of fleas, cockroaches, flies, spunk stains and shit stains.

I change my bed clothes regularly not just if I have a meet, sounds like the OP doesn't ever change his sheets if that's the only time they get done

It seems the generally accepted thing is to just accept , learn , and move on whenever this happens . And that's just about all you can do isn't it ?

There is no guarantee with anything in life , and meets turning up on here is no different .

Such a dissapointment , after the excitement , preparation , nerves and anticipation . It would be wonderful to find a way to eliminate such a high rate of no shows , last minute let downs and general piss takers , but this being our third time on fab in four years , there just isn't an answer .

Of course we can all look at our selection criteria, or have a plan b , but the dissapointment remains the same .

Let's just hooe when they have had it done to them a few times , they will realise manners and common decency cost nothing .

To spend a week chatting and preparing the ' victim ' for them to do this makes one hope karma is waiting .

tough break man these things happen, me personally I'm always braced for a rejection as it's easier to accept and move on say for e.g. if I ever pursued a meet as I always stick to the chat rooms or sometimes I cam..

now however if someone accepted and was interested in meeting me for real then I would get nervous and a bit uneasy.....

my point is maybe they just lost interest at the last moment and changed their mind without saying anything so its best to just get past it and leave it behind really... hope this helped
