Any else sick of no shows

Arrange at least seven meets only for them all to not show up, I mean not even a polite message or text to let us know. We wouldn't care but between kids and work our free time is precious let alone the cost for babysitters. It also puts us off the few that may be genuine as all sound genuine in messages.

Erm... I dunno how to break this to you, but in over 7 years of swinging we have never had a no show!

I think you need to have a good look at your selection process, that many no-shows would indicate to me you are not being thorough enough.

I used to get a few no shoes but after a while got a good inkling of who was here to meet and who was just here to chat and wank. Social meets can sort the wheat from the chaff but its not guaranteed. It's always worth checking their verifications, maybe have a phone chat beforehand, and just cross your fingers.

Yes we did arrange to have social leaving it open to more if we all clicked, and some already were verified just a simple message to let us know is the polite thing to do. We would never leave people hanging like that.

Just to add our "rubbish" to the no show thread...Even a phone call does not make a difference.. Had socials and telephone calls but when it went down to the "naughty" meet 90% never turn up this being single guys or couples.

It doesn't matter if there is telephone call or a social first it all comes down to the other side if they/he /she really want fun or not.

Found that people meet in clubs are usually the people who turn up

Haha! No! I meant a couple of times theyve said that before the meet in order not to make the meet! But i've never been at the meet and have someone not show or not let me know they're not showing. Sorry i think i may have worded my previous post badly.

yes but as a woman you are in a place to do that us guys have no rules we can put in place I asked a woman I like yesterday the same think her reply was I don't share my number ever and I have no choice but to respect that even though I've been in situations where say for example my train is cancelled or running late and all I can do is send a message to fab and invariably they are not online

Then don't meet women who won't give you their number! Your vetting proccess is entirely up to you and as i've already said, i give out my number once i've spoken on cam so i doubt i'm the only one. If you have rules for a meet, don't break them. If you do break them then you can't complain when women don't show. Simple.

I wouldn't meet someone not willing to share their number, as how are you supposed to let them know if something has happened (granddad/grandmother/cat/car just died). I would definitely think that a bit suspect, and I only share my number with arranged meets.

We had 4 no shows in one night a few weeks ago. Had spoken to them on here for a while, did the number swapping thing, even spoke to them on the phone beforehand.

All single guys, all "really keen" for a meet. All now in our block list. Seems that a lot of guys on here can talk a good meet but always have some lame excuse when one is offered to them.

my phone like you rightly say is how I access fab it has a memory capacity which is stretched to its absolute max I have had to delete apps like facebook and Skype etc in order to update the apps I do have and even though I've been told by quite a few women I'm handsome I do not regard myself as photogenic so as a matter of choice even if I had the app which I don't ,I wouldn't use it ,I would quite happily speak on phone and have a social meet xx

Like op says a polite no sorry I've changed my mind or something would have been nice.. Manners cost nothing.. I too, am now thinking probs won't bother meeting off here.. So no it's not just you guys

To be fair to single guys...if you're talking about gangbangs/greedy girl nights, I'm not surprised at the no shows.

Ok it would be polite for them to let you know they won't make it.

But it must be a lot of pressure and daunting for some guys.

I would imagine horny in their dreams, but the actual reality of performing might scare them off!

. What type of profiles did they have ?. Were they detailed and of at least twenty lines ?. How far were they proposing to travel..? Did they have hobbies and interests outside of fab.. The risk of a no show can probably be eliminated by having a detailed selection process ?

we've had 4, and 4 too many , but simply more cynical now, and insist on a social first so not TOO much time wasted if they don't come. And if opportunity presents, a social can quickly become more if there's a spark. Good luck OP, hope 7 is your top number on this!

Exactly this, it's hard enough for us men to get a reply let alone a meet, never had a no show but if it's guys doing the no show without a reason it totally bad manners.

Nb - if a guy can't handle the greedy girl scenario he shouldn't of chased the opportunity to be in the guest list

If someone you've arranged to meet in a week or so in advance, who then goes off the radar several days before the day and doesn't speak on the phone at the agreed time and who doesn't respond to a confirmation text on the day of the meet, even though they've been online, I would assume that the meet is off.

I always insist on a social anyway.

Until I get a message saying they are on their way I assume they won't be.

Sorry to hear that OP, must be properly frustrating for you to arrange something in good faith then have them all blow out!

Of course there may always be a legitimate reason, but it does seem like a particularly bad run and not a good advert for Fab! I hope things pick up for you.

I've been very lucky, never had a no show on this site. My very first meet on here was with a lady where we agreed to meet at a pub for a social first as a pre-cursor if we got on, hadn't heard anything for 30mins past the agreed meet time despite texting etc and assumed I had been blown out, just as I was writing a text to say I was heading off I got a text saying 'I'm here!' - definitely worth the wait, had an awesome meet and got my first veri! Sadly she's now gone UNLOS

That's fair enough but when you know what's on the cards don't agree to it if you're not up for it. Two of them texted to say they were on their way? Obviously got lost in an area with no phone signal. One apparently fell asleep, didn't stop him being on and off FAB all night. One of them got in touch hours later to say he was going away the following week and had to pack a bag? I mean WTF. Like I said, lame excuses and just go to ruin it for other genuine singles.

some cpls think its "funny" to arrange meets and have guys drive to hotels then want them to "beep their horn" and all stupid tasks to get a room number and have no intentions of meeting at all....

They are the worst type! and seems to be getting more common!

We have had a few like that, message on fab, message by text, I always like to speak on the phone beforehand just to " get a vibe" yet some have still not shown! Not sure if it's thd chase or not?

Thankfully most have turned up and had a great night so the few outweighed the many!

I remember once trying to organise an outdoor meet, we invited 13 hoping that at least 7 would turn up with a realistic _iew of 4 or 5 but just 1 turned up!!!

Experience will teach you nothing ????

I get where your coming from with this trying to out the fakes but to be honest in our experience except for black guys the whe verification/ checking feed back doesn't always them out, I guesthe best plan is to plan as best you can and hope for the best?? I think sometimes IT anoy some when single guys moans about being messed about not realising that couples get exactly the same??

To be honest we have found of late that its getting worse for no shows .. get at least one a month now... And there is nothing wrong with our selection process... As we always speak on the phone first. Don't get into naughty talk on fab... See photos etc... But just lately it seems even well verified people seem to think its okay just to not turn up or let people know x

i we know just what you mean,we have the same problem all the time .ok we might not be every ones cup of tea we know but when somebody mails you on a sat night for a meet and things are looking like they are genuine ,you exchange a few mails and they say common round ,and when you ask for there addy ant they then just dissapere,its just disrespectful snd a shitty way to treat people.

If you webcam with meets then they can't be fakes.not everyone has that facility I don't

You clearly have a mobile phone so why can't you talk on webcam?my phone like you rightly say is how I access fab it has a memory capacity which is stretched to its absolute max I have had to delete apps like facebook and Skype etc in order to update the apps I do have and even though I've been told by quite a few women I'm handsome I do not regard myself as photogenic so as a matter of choice even if I had the app which I don't ,I wouldn't use it ,I would quite happily speak on phone and have a social meet xx

I have one in it already its just not practical to have anymore apps on my phone I've deleted facebook app ,news app and other apps when this phone dies which it will I will replace it and just to keep you happy get Skype xx

hey you get used to it I had one organised for Saturday and they even asked me if I was still on for it on Tuesday or Wednesday and then they disappeared resurfaced Sunday no appology nothing known them a while

had folk re arrange or cancel in good time, i've had to do it myself, life interjects and all that, but never just had someone not turn up before.

i have a reasonably good gut instinct, and never tend to rush

Yep, It happens to single fems too......so annoying when you've booked baby sitters, and taken hours in the bath room getting ready. To either get a no show or cancel last min.

Last week was all regulars (3 of) and life got in the way (on their parts) so my good old batteries stepped in. They all gave me a good couple of hours notice thou. (Good boys I have them well trained!)

No shows/ cancellations so fustrating had a few so far in my short time on here. One woman a month ago completely ruined my Saturday as was a morning meet but she kept messaging me saying she had been delayed. Then no show when she said she was on her way. Then nothing.

Had a meet on Sunday which restored my faith with fab.

Only had two no shows in 13 years of doing this, one couple and one single guy, both when I was a couple, since being single and meeting alone, which has been seven years now, I've never had a no show, I did have one guy pull up, look at me and drive off but he did turn up

Four failure to meets last weekend.

First couple went silent on fab.

Second couple had illness, so didn't want to play.

Third couple, had played with us before, they suggested another meeting but wouldn't commit to a time.

Fourth was a woman who also went silent.

But the meets that do happen are worth the effort.

I think you need to have a good look at your selection process, that many no-shows would indicate to me you are not being thorough enough.

I tend to agree with this. Are they all verified? Have you spoken on the phone? "

I'm not sick of them because in 7 years I've had one guy not show up,I had an idea he wouldn't so had another plan in place and my instinct was right

I spend quite a bit of time chatting before I put myself out too much to meet and I like to keep in touch up to and on the day to make sure it's still on

If people go quiet then I assume it's off,when I hear all these stories of no shows I don't know if I've just been lucky or that it's because I don't meet that often that's meant I don't have a problem

I'd just like the opportunity! Been on here quite a while, talked to a few people, but no meets from this site. Have chatted to a woman I met off another site, but that's as close as I've come to a meet.
