"We are a couple but I play as a single female, chose a couples profile as we both go to the club together but he doesn't swing st all " We are the same. Hubby said for me to make a single profile but I did not want to. We are a couple and even though I play alone he always has a say, if he did not like the man or felt I would not be safe it would not happen.

"How does everyone feel about the opposite scenario. Husband free to play but wife has a say and running a couples profile. " Doesn't it depend more on who's actually 'meeting'? I also think most people would view it differently if a woman were to ask if it was okay for a man to accompany her initially on a social, so that she felt safe, rather than if a man asked the same thing. Mr ddc" I just wonder why it's acceptable for a woman to say she will meet alone with her husband's backing but a man saying the same thing is treated with suspicion (by some people). A man could be as much at risk as a woman in some scenarios.

As for suspicion, I see what you mean, but we just tend to take people at face value, so it wouldn't really bother us.

" well as I've said before I'm a cynical old bag " I suspect it's more likely that we're just incredibly naïve!
