You know the types. People that check out your profile a couple of times, maybe even send a wink, then should you actually send them a message saying hi you get nothing back. But hey, a day or so later they're checking you out again and turn up on your "who's looked at me" thing more than a freeloader at an open bar. What's that all about?

Maybe they’ve checked out your profile after reading a forum post, and done the same a few days later, people look at that many they probably forget who they’ve looked at, and when people change avatars they might even look again.

Never a truer word spoken in gest.. me thinks.

As for "how dare they". Don't get me wrong, we're flattered that anyone should show interest, but I was talking about people that seem by all appearances to be genuine, so not just pic collectors, not that there's much to perve at on our profile anyway. Surely, if you liked or were just plainly so curious about a profile so much that you felt the need to keep checking it, wouldn't you get in touch?

Just think it's a bit weird, yet it seems to happen loads of times.

I get it too, it doesnt worry me, at lot of people will take a look at a profile after seeing a forum post too (though Im guessing that a lot of people from the forums look at profiles but hide the fact that they do). I dont know the reason why they dont message, its probably just to look at pics etc

I have one guy in particular who looks at my profile at least 3 times a week, 2 weeks ago I winked him, as I quite like the look of him and thought I would break the ice, nothing back, but he still a looking lol

i'm not after an arguement.

we set up our profile.for people to look at.we dont find it odd,people look,no matter how often,but dont message.we are just happy,people look.

we had one single female who we had met on another site and our friends list was visable same as verifications and she made a point of contacting them all and telling them how good friends we was. She was getting very obsessive she wud check our profile out every few hours. Very odd but it was harmless. I gues people mite just like looking at ur pics and enjoy reading ur updates and what nots. X

We look at profiles just like anyone else. SOmetimes we look and find out we're not compatible so we do nothing more. If we like the profile we sometimes send a wink and sometimes send a message (if we're really keen).

Seems whatever we do - we cant do right for doing wrong though!

As for people looking it our profile - great! If they wink - we answer. If they message - we answer.

anybody can look at our profile as many times a week at any time of the day or night,and if we get mail from them its a bonus and even if they just like looking at the bic then its a compliment.to hell what harm is it doing.we even do it ourselves.who doesnt do it should have been the question.

Hmmmm, I'm with mistress on this one, I think stalker is perhaps the wrong choice of word. If you had said that you enjoyed looking at her pics so much that you simply could not resist looking regularly as they were the most delicious treat for a the eyes of a red blooded male.....like Mistress Deviant's are to mine for example, that may have gone down better...

I can't check who's been looking at me so it doesn't worry me.

However I do look at people from forum posts or if they've sent me mail and I can't remember who they are or what I said back. This happens a lot cause I have the worst memory in the world!

I think checking out who has taken a peek is just bad as getting peeked at lol (does that make any sense?!!!).

When we see someone looking over and over again over a few days we send them a cheeky mail if we like the look of them. The mail usually starts with "We can see you looking!!!...."

We have found this to be a fantastic ice-breaker as if they see the funny side of our message then they are on our sort of wavelength... One guy has even made it onto our friends list this way!!!

On the other hand... If they don't respond and/or delete our message it shows us that they a just perving (this usually stops them lol!!) or that they so nervous they are probably never going to have the guts to ever meet anyone on here!

I'm sure you do, but if you read the original post it wasn't about people paying you attention or looking at your profile, it was why some people (even the apparently genuine one's) look over and over and never get in touch?

We tend to forget who we've looked at, so if you have pictures up that look great and attract our attention we may well look more than once and forget that you wont meet smokers or can't travel for instance, besides sometimes its just nice looking at peoples pictures, lots of sexy people on here.

Thats like us,we do log into fab at different times of the day so we probably do click on the same profiles without realising,so some people on here probably think we are stalking them lol

But just because we have clicked on a profile it doesnt mean we want to meet just means we are being nosey.

What does my head in is when you do look at a profile then get loads of emails saying thanks for looking im free now for a shag,since when does it mean that just because you have looked at someone you want to meet them?

Very true, so I wouldn't view them again.. that is unless I forgot who they were, as some people have rightly pointed out.

Surely there comes a point though where you you have checked someone out so many times, if they're not familiar it more like alzheimers than forgetfulness!

I'm probably guilty of this.

Firstly there are some people's profiles I view because they've got great photos, or there's something about their profile which really floats my boat so I like to have a bit of a perv every now and again. These people are on my hotlist - I'm not sure what else the hotlist is for if it's not to keep track of those people you find hot.

Secondly there are some people, however, who will get looked at because I've got a really shit memory, so although I know I've seen their profile before I can't for the life of me remember what it's like, so I have another look to remind myself.

And thirdly, I .....erm, ....er, .....I forgot what the 3rd point was.
