Posted a few things on forums over the last few days only to feel I'm being bullied, we all have opinions but why be so nasty

A difference of opinion is not being bullied, when you state things as FACT that are incorrect people will disagree it’s just the way forums work.

Don't confuse differing opinions on subjects with bullying....these are discussion forums, people will not always agree with you.

Doesn't make them bullies.

must admit that i enjoy the forums....the differing opinions offered...the friendly banter.....but have noticed recently that there is a small but very vocal argumentative element creeping in

Opinions on here become very much divided between serious helpful advice and others who are flippant and take the pee ....its become a battle ground for genuine help and hindrance ..opposite _iews and the difference in people's morals/ethics can be interesting but some times very hurtful ..

I have read many of your posts, and those following them.

You are not being bullied. The people that post in these forums have opinions of their own, and can be quite vocal in expressing them. That is not bullying. That is expressing an opinion.

Yes, you may not agree with them, but that is the point of forums. If we all had the same opinions, then there would be no point to the forums at all.

I agree....report the 'bullying' to Admin, they can read the thread concerned and act accordingly.

I am a great believer in... 'don't give it out if you can't take it'.

I think on the whole, it is a very frank exchange of _iews and god forbid we ever all agree. Sometimes it does go too far and it is all about knowing when to stop.

People ask for opinions and then struggle to accept that people may have a _iew different to them.

I also think people take this lifestyle all too bloody seriously.

My advice exactly Crystal. If someone feels bullied they really should report it to admin. As long as there is evidence of course.

Well these have been reported, Its no one on here but was on a previous post, was very nasty to me etc, I like a good debate on here that's what the forums are about, but when someone starts ripping your profile apart for no reason well that's bullying to me

you start some contentious debates, what do u expect? People will have varied opinions, and everyone is always right, have you not worked that one out yet?

So it's ok to rip someone profile apart in a nasty way! I don't think so, the post wasn't about my profile but it came up

Nope its not but its also not appropriate to talk about someone else who i assume uses the forums. The person in question could i guess complain to the mods this is a targeted thread at him/her/them and claim exactly the same as your saying.

I guess what i am saying is things look different from different angles and from different people. The best thing to do is ride it and ignore them.

Yes as I wanted to make a point that there is playful banter/ debates on here, but nastiness that's another matter

Nastiness is subjective. don't you think ?

I might claim some remarks to me are nasty but then .... I don't break any sweat when I can't see or hear the person .... I'd have to be in a state to put a nasty emphasis on it myself.

Hope everything calms for you Gran x

There is little you can do about things unless you meet the individual in person. I always smile a little and think that if someone has to go to that extent you have upset them more.

The best thing to do is REPORT any post that you think breaks any rules.

I don't mind people disliking me, but I'd be mortified if people simply ignored me. If something I say generates debate, either for or against, then I'm happy.

You need a thick skin in this life and you can't allow people who don't know you to get under your skin. It's counterproductive and the only person who suffers from it is you.

I've read your profile, and as a man, you appeal to me, but your profile makes it clear we wouldn't hit it off - I understand that, but some people don't - so they choose to attack you because of it. It shows immaturity on their part and you've nothing to feel bad about.
