Men seeking 'reassurance'

...why are there SO many threads from guys seeking reassurance on what they have or do...

"Do women like beards"

"Do you like length or girth"

"Guys with tattoos"

Blah blah blah...just do what you do and do it for you...christ can you imagine real men of yesteryear whining to the women old Rhett Butler...

"Frankly my dear...should i grow a beard"

Man up boys...

But they aren't really seeking reassurance, are they? They aren't REALLY asking if women like beards. What they are doing is telling women who like beards "here I am, your dream!" It's thinly veiled promotion 89% of the time.

Exactly! Do women like tattoos and beards = I've got tattoos and a beard

Do women like gym fit guys = I'm a gym fit guy etc

BUT! this is a site where it's all about trying attract others for fun isn't it, so obviously people will use different means to do that, it's a competitive environment after all and anything people can do to get noticed is fair game isn't it?

Who's I don't like is where people put people down, mock or belittle others to get some one-upmanship over others, but provided it's done in the right spirit I don't see the harm!

As has been said in another thread, they tend not to go well when guys do it, but ladies get away with it lol

I would say some seek reassurance but the majority are just putting themselves out there to get noticed.

In a similar way some women post:-

"A man has messaged me that my pussy / tits / arse / big toe isn't pretty ~ what do you think......."

I'll agree with this. I don't see the harm in the self promotion, I just wouldn't take it for seeking reassurance, necessarily.
