Ironing

My ironing marathon is about to start. Got the T20 cricket on so shouldn't be too bad.

A house chore that I actually don't mind doing. Boot cut Jeans and T shirts have to be presting

Just did 3 hours worth. All done now thankfully. Earning points whilst Blondie has to work the bank holiday

Believe it or not, even my football training shirts get ironed.

I just hate creases

In one of my earlier lives my son's mother ironed a suede jacket..

There is a big 'men doing housework' theme going on here. I like it ...

Ironing is one job that I hate doing with a passion.

It tends to just sit in the basket under the stairs for weeks on end or until I/we need to wear it.

That's enough for one evening i think. In 5 hours I've got through

5 x pairs of Jeans

7 x work trousers

4 x shirts

9 x T shirts

6 x work shirts

4 x football training tops

Some would say I'm sad, i say it's stuff that needs to be done

Now time to cook lol

Same here.

Haven't picked up an iron in years.

Nothing I wear needs ironing.

Waste of time, in my opinion.

"Do people still wear boot leg jeans?"

That's all I wear. Boot cut and slightly flared.

When you have size 14 feet normal cut Jeans just don't look right

I only iron if i need something. I don't have enough hours in my life to justify spending a few of them just ironing stuff that will need ironing again by the time you come to wear it anyway. What exactly is the point???

As do i...but by the time it's been hanging up in the wardrobe it gets squashed and creased ....It's never good enough to wear straight out of the wardrobe.

Did about 3 hours worth of ironing earlier. Bloody hate it but properly destroyed a huge pile so feeling very self satisfied now it's done!

Probably my worst household chore

I have taught my sons to do the ironing too. I teach them by saying, I don't do that, do it yourself if you need it. I hang something up in the bathroom when I am having a shower and the steam gets the creases out ... my sons or my partner do the ironing for myself or my daughter when we need it. It works for us

In a strange way it is, hence why I don't mind doing it no matter how long it takes
