"piercings don't offend me at all...i guess it's up to the person and their reasons for having them if it makes you happy you possibly wouldn't feel as confident without them, which would actually make you appear less sexy...if that makes sense?!" before some of my mods, i wasnt happy showing that area, now i cant stop showing it.... catch 22. but i know what you mean, luckly most people here are polite about it if im not to their tastes (i mean i cant understand why somone mine not want to play with somone who has a 2inch hole in his nuts) however i have had some pretty rude remarks at clubs.

"My daughter had this wierd thing done a few weeks ago, cant remember what its called now they are like perminent piercings, they kind if punch a hole out your skin and put a piercing bar with a disc behind it and the skin grows round and they dont come out, if you want them removing it requires surgery, she had several dont to form a pattern, to me i thought that was a little over the top, tho i have a few piercings myself mine can just come out, having to have surgery to remove them is going a bit far to me but then im told its cause im old lol" microdermals. and not permante at all. nor do they need surgery to have them removed i had two in my chest, one was removed but a bath towel and the other i had removed by the guy who put them in, and only took a little nugging and a needle so dont fear. the only piercers who say they need surgrey to remove them, are piercers who dont know how to (and IHMO shoudlnt be putting them in)

I guess everyone has a preference...it's no different to someone liking smokers or brunettes or tall folk...it's just another aspect. totally uncool to call out in a club though and i'm sure that they will be the ones looking like knobs if they do that!

"Love tats, I have 4 soon to be 5, love piercings but only my ears are done, wanted my labia done but I am a diabetic and have been told it would be unadvisable" i am diabetic and have had my nipples ad my clit hood done - i think its more to do with infection control as soft tissue wounds can take longer to heal in us 'betes but provided you are sensible and take good care of yourself you'll be alright

"I wanted dermals in my back as part of my tattoo design. I wanted them as the eyes of my large dragon tattoo. When I spoke to my piercer, he asked with a grin if I spent a lot of time on my back?!?! When I answered only when I'm being lazy, I prefer it doggy, he said they can easily get pulled out by having sex on your back. And of course, there was the risk if my body rejected them, it would ruin the tattoo too. So I didn't have them done in the end. " yeah dermals on a back wouldnt be the best, same with hands/fingers sometimes wrists legs etc, basicly if it gets used. put into pockets, or clothes, it might not work. like i said i had tw in my chest and they lasted around 3-4 years. and that was with bumping and knocking from work, luckly it sounds like the piercer was a honest fellow, ive seen far to meny piercers put these into people, in unsuitable places and take their money for it. hopfuly sometime next year i'll have enough money to get my subdermal implant in my nob :D nice little heart, very fitting i think

"Can me old fashioned but I think this is far too extreme and all kinds of wrong. I am horrified to think that "piercers and tattooists" are cutting open peoples skin, in a non sterile environment, not medically trained, and sticking implants in. What about long term damage What if the implants move around the body and end up near a vital organ These testical implants - what about fertility - you're a 20 year old! Surgeons cut open in a sterile environnment with infection control procedures in place - are you really happy to let a non medical person do the same to you in the back room of a tattoo parlour? How are they sterilising their scapels? Where are they storing sterile scapels? Sorry Im just an old fuddy duddy but stuff like this, along with scarificiation is just a step too far " just because i couldnt see this one while writing the last :P its not piercers and tattooists doing this kind of work, if a piercer is doing modification work, their problebly not doing it well, and if a tattooist is piercing, then their problely not that well too. modification artists are a whole other leval. an elite few are known the world over for their work (brian decker, samppa, steve hawtorn (who inveted subdermal implants/3d art) and quentin inglis to name a few) as i said in my reather long post (sorry) its a far from non sterile room. maybe not medicaily trained, but they do know their way around a body, they'll know what risks are there, and if its more major work, will see the area 1st before any work is done to make doubly sure whats wanted will work for that person, in that place long term damage is the same as breat implants (when it comes to silicone implants anyway) there is a chance that the silicone may start to break down in 10 years, however that was with an olde rgrade of silicone that was never used by makers of silicone implants (was cheaper to use the older one for mass produced breast implants) other then that, 1 year on, no sign of movment, no sign of any irritaion, or swelling since the week after i had it done. the worst i have is a bit of scar tissue from the entry point (my bodys fualt for scaring like nothing else) it wont end up near an organ, it sits inbetween layers of tissue, and due to the fact its silicone will move and flex with my body. not quite testical (will be towards the base of my shaft) so no risk of fertility, if anything my transcortal was a bigger "risk" but anyway i dont want any children and will have the snip before im 25 and besides people who have lost one tesi for one reson of another (or those of have had a sex change) can have implants put into the sack. (mhmm 3rd tesical) the rest i have covered, and having spent the closer part f a motnh at the start of the year visitng my local hospital i can say hand on my heart, his whole studio is cleaner, safer and more strile then that place.

"the one thing i get asked about alot is my large transcrotal. almost more then anything. it seams quite a few fellew FAB-ers like piercings and tattoos, but everyone has their limit on body modification (some people are more then happy to stick to make up, cutting of hair, and nails etc. all body modification) so whats your limit? are you a collector? fancy one or two? or do you think its all bizzare and odd :D" Neither bizaire or odd..to each their own...it puzzles me why someone wants a fucking great coach bolt sticking out of their bottom lip or one of those 'holes' in their earlobes..and im more than puzzled why a guy would want a curtain ring through his japs eye...but thats about it really..doesnt make them weird or odd in my book. As for tatts...some can be really nice, works of art..others like chinese symbols, stars behind the ears, celtic bands, tribal etc and that scribble on the inside of the hand, the cheryl special...and done because they are fashionable (at the moment!)..or because they want to look 'ard' is not the best of reasons. Its like the old punk thing of the late seventies...they all wanted to wear certain clothes because they wanted to 'look different'...then someone realised by all trying to look different they all ended up looking the same...there is nothing original about them. Do the chinese have old english heraldry on their arms?...do maori warriors have pictures of fucking chas an dave????... That said..I take my hat off to anyone who does have them done...good luck to em..one, I couldnt handle the pain!...2..I respect anyone who will do anything I wont.. Thank good we are all different

Thank good we are all different" have to laugh at the chas an dave idea :P im glad you see it in the same light as i do, ok i maybe very into it all, but there are some parts that really bug me, one of them is poor tattoo work (or just picking off flash off a wall) i have few at the mo (ok you could say two, but i like to say 6 and half hours worth) that will become part of a whole leg of work, one is a number of shells (i have a thing about shells) and the other is based on a key that is owned by a friend of mine, its victorain and has a swastika on the end and has a swastika pattern around it (hopefuly everyone now should know the ture meanings of the swastika? if not google it, learn something, you may be very surpised to see just how meny times it'll pop up in everyday life, good luck items, buildings and religon, all before mr hitler ruined it for most of the west) but one day (when money permits) it'll all be one large tattoo

"Is it true that some of these modifications require surgery to remove them. If that is the case, doesnt it make it a very expensive hobby?" yes and no, while things such as dermals dont need surgrey to remove, some piercers will charge for the removal (understandable if they didnt put it in, but if they put it in they should be happy to remove them, if they can. but subdermal implants would need to be surgergly removed (by the person who put them in, if done right) as well as things such as ear lobe reversal, or if i wanted my trascortal closed up etc but those would have a fee due to the fact time would be needed for such things, and the amount of equimpment used etc yeah it can be a very expensive hobby, luckly i often get "mates rates" or i'll make him jewellery as a PX i dred to think how much ive spent, but i normaly live off 2-3 piercings/modifications a year. tattooist often cut corners when it comes to hygine its a sad fact that most studios live with out an autoclave and rely on rubbing alchol, mostly due to pre claved' grips, but that often leads to other corner cutting habbits, if a tattoo studio has an autoclave, and uses it, cable covers, fresh gloves for set up, fresh gloves agin to the sitting and a cert from the local council saying that the studio is clean, and other paper work such as 1st aid (thats upto date) plus cross comtanation certs, etc etc then they problebly a good clean studio, but then im bised in my ways, if a studio has flash on the walls, it probley cuts corners where ever it can, if they are a custom only, with months long waiting lists, not only are the artists working their of high standard, they will also be a clean studio to get work in.
