vaping and ecigs

so we have the option to click will meet smokers or won't meet smokers, but what about people who vape? we are non smokers but we do vape, i mix all our liquids and they contain no nicotine, they dont smell like an ashtry either. whats your views? would you meet people who vape?

I vape mostly but have the odd fag when i cant hold out to the niccotine craving.

I have smoker ticked to be honest about it and to be fair to others as it will be their decision to meet me.

Some ppl are as fussy about vaping as they are about tobacco. Although I have also found some ppl will meet smokers even though they have "wont meet smokers."

I vape with a nicotine mixture for three reasons:

1) it is supposedly less dangerous to my health than tobacco.

2) vaping isn't taxed as tobacco so is much cheaper

3) vaping produces no smelly smoke to bother other people

Socially, reason 3 is the most important, and most of my friends accept my addiction.

'm a vaper too, apart from with a glass of vino at a weekend. (Yes, I know - slap my hand)

I put smoker on my profile as not to mislead anyone if I do want a cigarette, say at a club.

Even so, i will always have anti smokers saying they won't meet but hey ho.. That's cool with me. I understand it stinks..lol! But would stick to vaping if need be.

But.. To answer your post. A option to show smoker, occasional smoker, vaper or non smoker should be there.

E-cigs don't actually smell bad though. My fella who detests smoking has no problem with people who vape as he says it tastes/smells of mint or strawberries. Lol!

It's as antisocial as spraying deodorant around.

I'm allergic to this kind of thing and have to leave the area if someone vapes near me.

Pg and vg that is the main base of vape liquid is found in most foods and also soaps etc.

I'm allergic to some scents. My partner and I don't wear perfumes or deodrents for that reason, and I ask meets not to as well. I also don't use scented toiletries. If someone stunk of perfume or anything similar I simply wouldn't be able to be intimate with them.

It can be hell, yes. Normally I'm fine as long as someone hasn't slathered themselves in perfume. But vapeing seems to set my allergies off quite easily. If someone does it at the next table, I have to move. If I'm in the middle of a meal often that means settling up and leaving, because people turn into inconsiderate dicks when you ask them if they'd mind doing it outside.

The simple answer is that if somebody is vaping then we have no idea what they are using, and we have no control over it. It may be harmless, or it may be some cheap untested stuff from a back-street market. And the long-term effects are still unknown.

I simply don't want to be exposed to it, thank you!

Do it in your own space if you must, but not around me!

Tried the ecigs.cant see the point in it.either smoke or don't. They do do nothing for the craving of a ciggy.as for meeting,it's everyone's own choice to meet smokers or nor. I respect everyone whatever their preference

I can understand the allergy problem. A very good friend of mine has a severe latex allergy to the extent that certain foods are off-limits to her including advocado and bananas!

I gave up smoking in may and now Vape full time I've smoked since I was 18. I've never been told I look stupid smoking my Vape pen infact what I do get is "how is it, how much did you pay for it, can I have a go? What I have been told when I did smoke is "you stink, go outside, sorry I don't meet smokers. Would you tell a over weight person you look stupid eating a salad? No? Then don't say a person who has replaced there cigs for a better more healthier(as far as we know) option.

Thinking someone looks stupid is not being an ignorant bigot. If I thought your trainers looked stupid, would that make me a bigot??

I agree, vaping does look stupid. And yes, a lot do smell awful. And yes, it does affect people with allergies and breathing related illnesses.

So you could argue that doing it in enclosed places regardless of the people around you actually makes you the ignorant one.

Not a bigot though, that would be a silly use of that word.

When I vaped, I was asked to stop by security in a nightclub that was pumping the room with glycol based fog t9 make the laser effects stronger. I pointed out that my vape fluid was essentially the same and the security guy agreed but said it was house policy. He was very polite so I complied.

Vaping can from experience cause mouth ulcers in some people using propylene glycol based fluids. They also dry your mouth and throat. I switched to vegetable glycol for this reason.

I also found that vaping left a layer on my teeth similar to that after eating lots of sugary food.

Vaping is a smoking cessation aid and to those who cannot switch completely are using the wrong ecigs in my opinion. I didn't get on with the type that looks like a real cigarette of which there was only one brand at the time. I bought the tank type that you fill with liquid and stopped smokinging completely... A year of solely vaping and I gave that up too!

They may look like "adult dummies" but they have their place.

Vaping in public places will go the way of smoking in public and that will please some and ipset others as with the smoking ban.

I agree that if someone indicates that they have an objection to someone vaping on medical grounds then why not stop while you are around them??? The world won't stop turning just to go elsewhere to vape once in a while.

Lets not go down the route of "It's my right to vape in public if I want to" Americans have the right to bear arms and look where that's got them!

I smoked for many years and the last two years have vaped,

My wife never smoked ,

Last week we went for a very expensive medical check for bloods , ecg , monitored over two days ,carbon level taking ect,

Mine came back at 0.3 my wife's came back at 0.4 ,

I think a clear proof vamping leaves little or no trace at all

If the place they are in allows them to vape (or whatever the term is) while sat at the table, then why should they have to go outside to do it because you are allergic to it . I have allergies but if someone nearby me is (legally) using what i am allergic to then I am the one to move, not them
