I know this is a swinging site and people come on here looking for fun and sex but do you think you can become real friends with someone??

I used to think you could but realise it all fizzles out in the end

Yes very much so, I met up with three fab friends last week one came to stay for a couple of days, friends are found in all different places and I don't think here is any different

Personally, we have made some great friends through swinging. Some we don't even swing with anymore, but still good friends, and always good to catch up with them.

I've a couple of friends that I've known a few yrs we don't meet often but stay in touch a lot. I did have a female friend that I.thought I got on well with but she messaged less and less every time she was talking to a new man I just got so fed up with it.

I have a few who are definitely firm friends.

One I have lost count of the weekends spent in her caravan. Have several mutual friends. Lives round the corner.

Another I introduced to her now hubby...invited to their wedding. Still in regular contact.

Another in Dudley where I always drop in for a brew if working up there...but do still play sometimes. Know her family and neighbours. (Fucked her 19 yr old flirty daughter....yes she knows before anyone asks)

I could go on......

Yes you can ive met 2 lovely ladies on Fab who i will be still friends with long after any of us will leave the site. We even go for days out with our children and i often pop in for quick coffee and a laugh and chat without even thinking about any sexual activity

One of my 4 best friends is a guy I met here over 4 years ago. We're just friends now (life moves on) but I see him more frequently than any of the other 3!

Over the years we have met some fabulous people. Some of who at one time would say we were good friends. But we have adapted the opinion that actually people are here for the same reason and out to get the best deal.

We have acquaintances now. Not friends.

We have all the friends we need.

Yes. One of the criteria I set for people I meet on Fab is 'would we be friends in 'real' life'? If the answer is yes then it's all good. I'm friends with everybody I've met on Fab and chat regularly to them all - more about day to day 'normal' stuff than anything else. It's all part of the fun of this lifestyle. The social element is very important to me, and within that is firm friendship

If people on here think they had a good friend male or female and they felt they were messaging them less, they could maybe have messaged them first to ask why, they may have had some personal problems of their own and that was affecting everything in their life.

I have this flaw too. I have to try not to trust anyone in what they say.

I've made a lot of swinging friends they are not what I'd call real friends though, to me a real friend is somebody I would invite to my home, meet my kids etc fab friends are people I know through swinging that I would meet up with in a none sexual way

so though I view them as friends I don't view them in the same way as my none swinging friends

I have lots of friends I've met through swinging. Met each other's families, holidays etc. We had a get together not that long ago and we were all super vanilla! Made us all laugh... how times have changed. Hanging out in the garden with all the kids is a long way from where we used to be.

For me I'd like to say yes but I don't think it would be long term as a lot of people are going through a faze in their life, I haven't given my phone number out to anyone so once I leave fab I think that will end any friendship I have made

It needn't fizzle out. If you're compatible and have a connection then I think a long term friendship from Fab is most definitely possible. I know for a fact from personal experience that the most wonderful friendships can blossom through Fab

In a way I've found it way more rewarding and comforting finding a genuine friend on here than anything else.

My best friend is a lady I met on fab, we'd have been best friends in real life if our paths had crossed at some point.

I do make other friends on fab, I have one very good male friend who I can confide in anout anything and another good female friend who just gets me!

I thought I had good friends in others but after getting what they needed from me, they unceremoniously dumped me.

You meet friends in all sorts of different places, why can't fab be one of them

I've met some great people both socially and for play that have turned out to be great friends. I talk to them about all sorts. And they've helped me through some tough times too.

I just think it's all down to what you want from the site. If all someone is after is sex then it's unlikely to become a friendship and it's about knowing who you're talking to I guess too

Most of my friends now are from fab. I have far more in common with them than I do with 'vanilla' friends so I don't have to tell any fibs about where I socialise, what I get up to etc. I much prefer it! X

Swinging is something totally different to real life for us . We meet some great people in this lifestyle , but it's like fight club really , a fix for our naughty other life .

When we first began our journey , we thought we had made lots of genuine friends from our time spent in our local swinging club . Then the club closed , and those we thought were friends disappeared . But for the odd bit of contact with one or two of the regulars , the rest are pretty much forgotten .

And to be fair , that's probably the best way as its kind of cool to keep swinging and vanilla life separate . On the odd occasion when swinging 'friends' have seen us outside of play environments (shopping etc...) it's been a bit embarrassing if we are with the kids or people who don't know we swing .

So although we have some great swinging buddies , they are friends in the scene , but not outside it .

With the 2 Iv made, we text each other and talk about everything and anything on a regular basis. Even if it's just to say hello or see how each other is.

One of them is a very good friend, but I also go to swinging clubs with him (never anything sexual) we are like each other's mascot

as new to the club scene.

This.. But there are a lot of snakes in the grass too. So I am back to going with my first instincts... Instead of letting others convince me I'm not giving someone a chance.

We have some great friends... Some we still play with some we don't
