I was on Kik for a bit but didn't chat to anyone. I then got rid of it but now thinking of going back on it. What ate the good and bad things about it?

More instant than on here. Share pics easily. Does exactly what it says in the tin. Talk more regulary on that than on here.

Brighton - even Hove!

"PIK" would have been a better name than kik.

kik is ok it can be a pain when adding guys off here

i stopped using it because all i seemed to get were guys chatting to me on here then soon as I added them to kik they'd just pester me for pics when that's not what I added them for

The anonymity makes it bad

I can talk on here without having my phone going off every 5 minutes by strangers who are too scared to give a number out

If people are serious about meeting me then I expect a phone number not an app

I like it, no need to give number out.

Although men on fab, seem to think you going to send tons of photos to them. When it's more about quick easy chat to see if you want to meet or not.

I love it. Simple, can go on it without worrying about people seeing to much. Easy to block people when they get annoying lol.

Good advice so far. I'm still undecided.

I know from my day job that hackers can now use it to hack into your device, as a tool for identity fraud, that and Whatsapp too it's one of the unspoken reasons the government is pushing to have them closed

I'm completely indifferent to it. Blokes have added us and pestered for pics. Some have added for 'chat' which consisted of 'get yer tits out' zzzzzzzzzz

I just see it as a way of people accumulating wank fodder

Should have added that if you are using these apps I'd strongly advise you to ensure you don't have a mobile banking app on your phone also

Mr has kik on his phone but after being pestered for pictures we rarely hand it out now. Conversations tend to fizzle out on here after they realise we want to meet and not just swap pictures.

Exactly this. As found out yesterday, and while conversing with a single woman too. It's not just a guy thing.

Somewhere in North Norfolk

I get more spam messages on kik than anything else. One message with a photo attached every few days at the moment. I block them and report them as spam immediately so I have no idea what the photos are.

As naughtynymphos said, any man I've added from here immediately starts to pester me for photos, or videos or cam play or 'phone sex; none of which I am interested in.

I like it, quick and easy to chat to people and can block the numpties too. Sending pictures is a lot easier too, but from reading this thread, that might not be a good thing. Overall, I think its a but don't pester for pics

I deleted kik on my iPhone

Partly because I was very low on storage - and partly because almost every guy I gave my kik address to felt compelled to contact me on a minute by minute basis - even though I pointed out that one of the reasons I don't want a 'proper' relationship is that I really don't want 50 messages a day asking me what I had for breakfast/lunch/dinner, what I was doing at any given moment, who I was talking to etc etc!

I'll stick with whatsapp - and giving it out to only the non-needy!

Very sorry if this sounds cold - I'm far from it - honest!

I'm on kik activtly looking for meets but it's more like looking for a needle in a haystack.

Too many guys simply looking to exchange pictures and the ladies that I have interacted with have so far tended to be fake or false accounts.

It has potential and is probably great if used in the right way but there are too many time wasters which is a real pain in the backside

I personally don't like it, seems to attract a lot of men that aren't single lol

I once had it before but eventually was getting a lot of spam and fake accounts pointing to useless fake hookup or cam sites. So I got rid of it till just recently due to the potential to easily arrange meets and stuff.

Would leave out giving whatsapp till we both been genially chatting for a while and she seems trustworthy.
