Not true.

I think once someone is in the tall bracket you seem to interested in I think you'll find extra inches are unlikely to be added.

I don't see how saying I'm 6ft8" would benefit me? Likewise if I were 6ft3" I think I'd be happy with that and not claim to be 6ft5". Why risk disappointment and mistrust?

A very very tall man is probably more likely to take an 1" off height. We're a funny lot human beings.
