Not entirely sure to be honest. We are to a certain degree.

We are a married couple. We do meet other couples for shared sexual experiences but we never full swap.

We can go months without any swinging at all and probably only have 2-3 play meets a year. It is an occasional bit of fun for us.

What that makes us I know not. Are we swingers ?

We mainly full swop with other couples but also do sometimes have fun with singles too.

We have lots of very good like minded friends that we socialise with as well as have sex with.

I don't class myself as a swinger. But have a swinging relationship and embrace the swinging lifestyle? I guess that's how is answer.

My own opinion is that 'swinging' is about sexual activity with others. To be a 'swinger' you need at least 3 people - either playing together or 1 non-player who is aware of the play of the other 2. 1 player and 2 aware is just wanking. 2 singletons is nsa sex.

I find it very hard to understand the notion of 'social swingers'. Without the play surely they are just people who like to talk about sex.

Labels don't really matter though - if you enjoy what you do then do it, but don't tell people that's the correct way, or even worse, the only way.

It's not off topic and a perfectly valid question

. I went to my first swinging event almost 8 years ago, I've been meeting people, going to clubs and going to socials ever since until a few months ago. And I eexpect I will be again at some point in the relatively near future. But for now I'm taking a break. And just because I'm not presently swinging I don't think that equates to not being a swinger. But equally if this break turns out to be longer than I anticipate at some point I will say that I used to be a swinger
