why do people wink you, then have no winks on their profile lol, or wink you then say if we have winked you please dont wink back but write a proper reply,

Because they are a bunch of winkers who cannot be arsed to sit down a jot a few lines of text in a box and press the send button.

It's like a lot of stuff on this type of site - people want maximum output with minimum input.

In my language it is called being lazy, although I have no doubt that someone on here will correct me

i agree with the load of winkers bit. Imagine if they are like that over contact on here how they will be like in the bedroom dept, expect you to do all the hard work....lie back and think of England.....no thanks

I had a mail from a m8 the other day saying he had winked at me by mistake instead of hitting the mail button.......I then realised we don't get winks, and now know why, ours don't work.......yipppeeeeeeee.

But you know, like in the real world, you would smile (online wink) at someone you liked but didn't yet know, if they smile back then you might go and say hello, if they ignored your smile then, move along...

But again, you really need to understand and try and work out who is running the account, most couples are run by the male (I said most not all) so oyu need not pee him off if you want any chance... but again (fave word of the day) if it's a no then...

Why does anyone actually USE the 'winks'?

It seems pointless to me, if you like the look (and sound) of someone's profile, surely to goodness it makes sense to send a message! Strikes me that 'winking' is a hobby best left to those ppl that love to 'wink' all on their own..?

Probably because when they do send personal messages they get read then deleted so nothing to loose sending winks?? or thats our conclusion after reading the many no reply to emails threads that frequent these forums.
