NEVER talk to journalists…

So for most of us ordinary folks this doesn’t apply however, a few weeks ago we spent a weekend at the Paradise Blackpool and there was a journalist in doing a piece on the swinging hobby. People, mostly friends of ours kindly agreed to take part in being interviewed such that the magazine ‘Love it’ (out today) might create an overview of the swinging hobby for public reading.

Well they might have just as well not spoken to anyone and made up a load of derogative rubbish and printed that… well actually that’s what they have done, made up a load of derogative rubbish and printed it!

Any one else read it?

we used to go to destinysx and a swing mag did an article there and it was quite positive.

At least the journalist had the decency to admit he was a journalist.

All to easy for a singleton (or a couple) to sit quietly, chatting to folk at the bar, or in the hot tub, or in the car park or wherever and go away and write whatever angle your editor wants.

I think journalists do what ever they have to do to make sure they get paid.

Forgot to say that we've been to a club where a swing mag was reviewing on the same night, the review was good and very fair, but that was for the swinging community and not for a sensationalist weekly mag

...clearly a woman who doesn't dress nice to make herself feel sexy and for her partners appreciation....

it's all really rather ridiculous and happens every time the fred wests and tommy sheridans hit the headlines....it becomes newsworthy again and they have nothing new to say.

People Are Having Sex For Pleasure.....hardly a shocking headline huh?!

It gives them some defence if the target of the made up stuff takes it to the Press Complaints Commission. The journalist can say 'I went there on such and such a date and spoke to however many people there.'

There's no onus on the journalist to accurately report what was said.

Just got home and read the article and yes its boring LOL. Dunno where they got the 'Sex Spy' from, worst spy I've ever met, I mean if she was any good at it I wouldn't have known I'd met her PMSL. And while it reads like 'Sex Spy' is horrified, what was it she said 'queasy' RUBBISH, she was just on the edge of joining in on a couple of occasions only I don't think anyone fancied her poor thing LOL.

I did see the last one but apparently this was a follow-up story, or so they were told.

Would now be a bad time to admit that as my day job I'm a journalist...?

...

Just kidding... I'm not really. No, seriously, I'm not a journalist. It's OK, you can unblock me - I was only joking!

Yeah, The Sunday Mail wrote a load of lies about my convoy some years back, and we offered the journalist lunch during the interview.

Never trusted journalist's since.
