Discussion on another thread about what does and doesn't make someone a prostitute.

Is it ok for married couples to have sex with strangers for free?

Is it ok for people to pay to attend clubs to have sex with strangers?

What is the big difference that means it's ok as long as that money doesn't pass directly to the person they are fucking?

Why does anyone in 'this lifestyle' think it's ok to look down on prostitution?

I have no problem with prostitution, actually. I think it should be legalized.

However, I do get insulted when I am offered money because my motivation is not money. I shag who I want, not who pays me the most. It feels like a friend handing you some bills when you help them move...it's insulting.

If it prevents wierdo's raping and stalking etc, then its not a bad thing. But with trafficking and people forced into it, drug habbits etc, it comes with its drawbacks. As does swinging.

It doesn't have to just be money for it to be classed as prostitution. For example, on a vanilla site a woman told me if I bought her a bottle of vodka and some she'd have sex with me. I would take a bottle or bottles of something for us to share on the night of the meet if that would make the meet relaxed and more sociable, however i wouldnt take a case of wine as a present as that would be construed as payment and prostitution.

I commented on the other thread you refer to OP and it appears to me those that have an issue with calling those who request money or gifts for sex prostitutes are probably the same people who ask for these things and do not like the stigma that attatches itself to them

As a single woman on fab I've had plenty of offers of paid meets. Often by people who haven't approached me before, suggesting some people find money to be a shortcut for sex rather than, y'know, talking to me.

To be entirely honest though, I'd rather do sex for money than stack shelves again.

I have no issues with prostitution, each to their own - but would totally agree with the comments made already - Swingers meet for pleasure - Prostitutes meet for cash & although there might be a % of them that actually enjoy the sex side, its still money for sex

There's a program on BBC3 tonight about it that might be worth a look at 9pm. It is good that the subtle campaign to legalize it and stop all the hypocrisy that surrounds is aired a little.

Luckily, I have no need to visit prostitutes but I have absolutely no problem with it as long as the girls involved are not co-erced and do it of their own free will, which I accept is hard to guarantee it's live and let live for me all the way.

I would suggest that prostitution is pre-arranged and the 'payment' has already been agreed. Sex after a 'date' is more spontaneous but for sure, there are grey areas.

Prostitution don't always involve money, favours, holidays, house parties charging fees etc the list goes on.

If it involves sex and money most things border on prostitution if some one/a club/a company are earning extra money after covering reasonable expenses.

Prostitution is earning money through sex or implied sex so this includes girls guys clubs profiting from there activities.

Girl working alone are legal but two girls like a swinging house party charging money becomes a brothel and becomes illegal.

Check out local government polices as some councils are different like the differences between north and south, the north are allowed drinks licenses where down south its almost impossible to get a drinks licence in a sex establishment.

Prostitution is different from swinging or casual sex because prostitution is a transaction based around money, done to fulfil two (or more) peoples needs for separate things. One person will likely be getting sexually fulfilled and the other person will not and sex isn't their motive for meeting.

Jesus, they went out for dinner for God's sake and she may have slept with him because she found him attractive - only the two people involved will know how it worked on the night and led to consensual sex, whatever spin anyone else wants to put on it. If you're only fucking someone because you want the money you're a prostitute. Clubs and regular party hosts can't pay for venues,security etc out of their own pockets so they charge. But,they make a profit and I can imagine that profit could become addictive to some and the money becomes more important than the people attending.

I know quite a few escorts and money isn't their motivator, it's a nice perk. They get a kick out of it, sexually. Or having power over the men they play with.

I don't look down on prostitution. At all. I hope it's all consensual and safe. And even if anyone was doing it for financial reasons, I take my imaginary hat off to them. If they need to find a way to provide or survive, so be it.

I worked as an escort or (prostitute if preferred) for over ten years. And found i got a much better standard of man than would generally populate websites trawling for sex. They were generally better mannered as they were paying for your time and service. Unfortunately 90% of the people that contact me on here would of been incapable of getting an appointment due to their attitude. I seen who I wanted, when I wanted, and on my terms. Lived a good lifestyle, met some fantastic people and travelled the world. And it was legal.
