I adore Niles, and wish I could go up to him just to ruffle his hair and shake him up a bit!

"Two and a half Men"

Agree with above, and Cheers used to be a classic. Better when Shelley Long was in it though (think that was her name!!)

But if it wasn't for Cheers, Frasier may never have been made as it was a spin off if I remember rightly

"But if it wasn't for Cheers, Frasier may never have been made as it was a spin off if I remember rightly "

Correct - Frasier was a regular at Cheers and was engaged to Diane, but she stood him up at the altar. Frasier then ends up marrying Lilith instead, and they have a son together, called Frederick.

After Lilith cheats on Frasier, they divorce. Frasier then attempts suicide in an effort to win Lilith back - he doesn't actually go through with it though. As a result of his attempted suicide, he loses custody of his child to Lilith. His career also takes a nosedive as a result of his failed suicide attempt, so he decides to return to his hometown of Seattle.

This is the point where Frasier (the series) starts and Cheers ends.

I'd also like to add Seinfeld to the list of funny American TV shows.

Incredibly funny stories, well written scripts, brilliant characters and the acting wasn't too bad either.

My favourite episode is called The Betrayal (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Betrayal) - aka The Backwards Episode

Ok send the 1/2 to 'Nans' lol and if you dont like the 2 they would believe ya if you said you had to dash to fetch him ...

Do ya reckon Charlie is on this site ?

Seems to do ok lol

Know its not a sitcom but I absolutely love Whose Line Is It Anyway?

I'm enjoying watching Raising Hope at the moment.

But M.A.S.H is my all time favourite, no matter how many times I have seen each episode, I still enjoy the one-liners and pathos/humour.

Just have to agree 'whose line is it anyway' is brilliant, Colin mockerie & Ryan styles are pure genius..

Also Futurama is very funny, its the little things in BG that you don't notice at first.
