I rarely send messages now, but it seems I have a way of cocking-up a message quite fantastically! I'll spend a decent amount of time writing it and think, 'perfect, sounds great' - send, and it'll get deleted. I'll think I just wasn't for them. I read one I sent the other day, and it didn't make the slightest bit of sense... I had real trouble understanding it myself!

Do other people do this? Or do people get these garbled, nonsense messages?

I sometimes write a lengthy and erudite forum post. I read it back a couple of hours later only to find its complete and utter gobbledygook I can only assume that we operate in parallel universes half the time
