Fake verifications

I was chatting to somebody, a new member, and they said they were unsure about a meet as they had only had one before.

I pointed out they had 5 verifications

(I had noticed they had all appeared a few days after the user had registered which I though unusual).

They admitted that they had just asked guys to verify them and they did.

Seems verifications are worthless then.

No point in reporting it. What can fab gonna do to check they are fake?

Plus the messages I exchanged with them were on an app so they can't be checked.

Admin can contact the fake verifiers and remove the veri's

Send a copy of the message admitting the veris are fake, the original message will still exist in the records too so they can check on it.

I have seen new single females ask for veri's before and it really pisses me off. What pisses me off even more is the guy's willingness to provide them

Nope -verifications if used correctly are a very use full bit of information that might help you decide or not to meet - in the instance you mentioned -firstly id ignore her/them and secondly consider reporting them

Well they are still on the site 2 days after reporting them.

I knew nothing would be done.

A few weeks ago I reported someone I saw bullying and name calling in forums but they are also still here and posting in forums.

Some people think the site is a like minded community and run for the benefit of that community. It isnt. The site is run for profit. If there are fake profiles that have fake verifications but they are popular profiles with popular photos they will never get booted. Not even if they arrange a meet and give you a false address.

They are site supporters so yeah...money before morals I guess.

I sat around for 4 hours waiting for this super hot guy..he has 14 veries. ..

His profile was tooooo hot ..the most amazing pictures...

Turned out he had asked older ladies to very him in return for an amazing veri..the ladies did so it would look like they met a super stud..14 fake veries (2 of the ladies admitted it to me)

Reported and was closed...

But so frustrating!!

just block them and move on, veris are only a tool to help you along the way to a meet,read into them and make you own mind up, send in a report and move on...connie x

It never ceases to amaze me when this topic comes up how many people just say "block and move on" or post how they reported something and action was taken.well thats a million miles from my experience on the site and judging by all the posts and status's i see about fakes etc im not alone.

We're getting used to spotting fake profiles, usual give always are all the profile who verified are set to private x
