Maybe there was something else that came up during your conversation that turned her off but she found it easier to use the tatts as an excuse?

If she's still talking to you, maybe she was just saying you're not her usual type without meaning to be rude or blunt.

Perhaps she was just being honest and sees you as more than just ink?

You haven't said in your post that she's refusing to meet you because of it (as others have assumed) so if she's still happy to meet or chat what's the issue?

Despite the ubiquitious nature of tattoos today there are still some who holds the old fashioned view they don't like the "sort of person" who has a tattoo.

Perhaps she chatted until her steriotype gut reaction was confirmed? Anyway, move on. She was not your type either.

It seems she was just happy chatting but didn't want to meet you. I get a lot of men that think because I message back they are guaranteed a meet but that's not the case. What kind of excuse do you wish she had given you?

It's just a preference....we just chat on here so we are happy to talk to anyone but.....if we did meet people, Flik doesn't like the look of beards or tattoos so she would happily chat but not meet...maybe this person is the same?

Tats arnt my thing, although dose not bother me others having them. And I play with lots of men / woman who have them. But most men, only post pictures of their cock, and very little have ink on them. Maybe if more blokes posted body pics it would give us a clue.

When I'm chatting with people I don't necessarily intend to meet them. So, if someone sends a face pic, I usually think they are looking to meet us and that is why they sent the pic (whether that is their intention or not, it is usually the impression I get from getting a face pic). So maybe she got your message, assumed (as I often do) that you wanted to meet, and told you that she isn't into tattoos because she isn't and doesn't want to meet (just wanted to chat).

I could see this being the case. Alternatively she didn't like the look of your face and blamed the tattoos because it is less insulting? I dunno...forget her and move on.

We prefer to meet fairly early on, male, female or couple. Not into 'chat' on here, prefer to chat face to face. That's when you know if there's a spark or not.

We've had meets when there was no spark and we've messaged them after and said 'thanks for meeting but there was no spark', some people have real issues with this level of honesty (what we see as being respectful and direct) and prefer to just make up some excuse. Everyone's different.

Another reason we ask for a meet (for a social) early on is those who will, will, and that's a great time to lose those that won't. When I say early on, it's after face pics have been exchanged and a mutual attraction established.

Some people want to and fro chatting, for up to a year I've seen on here before meeting. Great for them, we couldn't be arsed with all that.

Up until her last pm, judging purely by your side of the story, you did absolutely nothing wrong.

You then made two classic school-boy errors:

1) You assumed that someone who was happy to chat with you, wanted to shag you. (This is not the case, and should explain to other men why some people are reluctant about replying to their 'normal, flirty PMs')

2) If she reads the forums, you will have made her feel uncomfortable about discussing your private messages publically.

I suspect you may also have made a third: sent an ill-judged pm after she politely declined your offer to meet. (Most likely reason for the block.) I accept I am basing this solely on this thread, and may be wrong, but you did ask

I chat to loads of people, even (shock, horror) some men. But if they asked for a sexual meet I'd definitely say they weren't my type. Surely people are allowed to chat about stuff without men assuming it means they're on for a shag, only to get all huffy when they discover the truth?
