Question for those of you out there, following a conversation we had with one half of a couple recently: are the couples out there whose female half are listed as bi-sexual/curious doing so because they genuinely are? Or because your male half is particularly keen to experience some girl on girl action. And also, are there any genuinely straight couples out there? It seems we're in the minority

My mrs is the littlest bit curious, she has kissed another woman and enjoyed it, and had another woman go down on her and she enjoyed it, but she wouldn't be worried if ahe never did again.

But some women on here, and in clubs are incredulous when we say she isnt really into women.

I am definately bi (little d) and is one of the reasons we entered swinging.

I would also enjoy a bi male mmf. So dont think it has a bad judgement but more hidden perhaps. Hubby is straight unfortunately

I think you're right though, it's not a surprise that there are more openly bi/tv etc on fab, this is a place of liberation we've just spoken to a few women who seem to be doing it for the wrong reasons is all. You clearly don't fit into that category though, which is good to see!

Well in the past I have known, worked with, studied with, been educated by gay men, lesbian women and transsexuals, but not really any bi people. I hear there can be quite a lot of peer pressure from the gay and lesbian community if someone decides they are bi instead (on podcasts like the Savage Lovecast and Sex Out Loud)

I hope you dont think that I am part of any lynch mob.

I think you may have misread the tone of our original post. It was certainly not we are holier-than-thou. If anything, both of us are fairly open to new experiences, which I guess means you could say that under the right circumstances, either of us could be 'bi'. The original point was, though, that some people seem to be doing it or labelling themselves for the wrong reasons, as I'm sure you could say about some people trying swinging full stop. It was a genuine, curious question, and not an attack. Perhaps treat it as such?

Ok, i was thinking this thread isn't very lynch moby compared to others! But i understand what you mean now. The Savage Lovecast episode 452 tells the story about a lesbian being ostracized for experimenting with bisexuality. Its an interesting relationship agony uncle podcast that I listen to. Life on the swingset is a great swinging podcast, and Sex Out Loud is a great podcast about sexuality, sex ed, LGBT, sex workers, biology, sexual anthropology etc etc.

Then what are we disagreeing on? My premise was simply that some people are straight, others like to play, to differing degrees, with partners of both sexes. Why should either way be questionable? It would never cross my mind to question your assertion that you are straight.

But my post was specifically a response to multiple conversations we have had with women who are doing it because they think their partners will enjoy it! Not because I can't understand or am disbelieving of someone saying they are bi. You're right, if someone is genuinely 'bi' then that shouldn't be questioned, but that wasn't being questioned. The most interesting responses to this thread are those who are saying that it's easier to be bi in an environment like fab than in real life, and that was the crux of it. Not those who seem determined to take offence

I disagree, if you don't ask interesting questions, you don't learn. But you do have to be open to answers other than those you were expecting.

You will rarely find us posting any details about our meets, we tend to keep those things private. The same with our 'action shots'.

I think its sad when people cant express their sexuality. My family, friends, colleagues and community would be fine with me expressing myself as bi, or gay (if I was), but i understand that that is not the case for everyone. I hope we get to a place soon where it is the same for everyone. Although the UK isnt perfect, i feel as though we are a lot more accepting of the LGBT community than some other countries.

We have meet couples when you get a feeling the girl isn't that interested (in either of us) I try not to meet girls who say their curious in case you get naked and they decide their no longer curious

UK is certainly more accepting overall but in some areas of the country, still VERY homophobic. Often unwise to reveal your true sexuality.

In answer to the OP, bisexual men and women are often looked down on by both the straight and gay communities. "Choose to be gay or straight, you can't be both."

Another reason you won't know of many bisexual (or gay) people outside of the swinging world.

Just changed h's profile to straight this morning lol. Whilst she's played with girls and loved it and may well do in the future, her preference is guys and we don't want anyone being disappointed if girl on girl doesn't happen.

Coming back to the thread, I do think we're in the minority but hey ho

It's wrong for people to assume. Just because someone is bi, doesn't mean they will play with everyone. There still has to be an attraction. They should still ask. Put whatever status (bi or straight) you feel comfortable with. x
