won't meet smokers?????

This has probably been done to death but we have had winks and messages from quite a few people lately who have on their profile "won't meet smokers" and when we point out that we both smoke(though not in bed) they usually say "oh we didn't know how to change that" or "we love your pic's so we would make an exception for you" its starting to get a bit of a joke, why can't people just be honest! If we look at a profile and it say they don't meet smokers we leave them alone,we could hide the fact that we smoke like some we have met! The point im trying really badly to make is don't put that you won't meet smokers if your willing to meet because something else about us takes your fancy! Just makes us think your hipocrites!! im gonna have a fag now iv sort of had a rant,lol

I get pissed off if someone says they don't smoke n when u do meet them u can smell it on their clothes, which in turn transfers over on to me. Grrr!

. i totally understand that and thats your perogative,thats what im getting at is the dishonesty,if we arrange to meet non smokers we have e'cigs because we get that!

I do smoke...

But would never smoke prior to a meet, I

can smell smoke on other smokers ( as a smoker) and it must,nt smell very nice...

I dont want to inflict my habit on others, I never smoke in my house or confined spaces, im actually very particular about not inflicting my habit on others...

Not nice for a non smoker to smell stale smoke

I get the point about being a considerate non smoker my point is we don't hide the fact, its the pius "we don't meet smokers" who think that just because they like what they see that we will be grateful they have bestowed their benevolence on us lowly peasents! The same as couples that plaster we don't meet single guy's all over their profile and all their veri's are from blokes! Duh stop bullshitting!

I'm a social smoker as i can take it or leave it, so maybe fab need to update the profiles to smoker, non smoker, social smoker and e cig smoker just a idea

We are considerate to non smokers it just makes me laugh the amount of people who don't say it as it is on here, i mean the whole point of the profile is to give people a chance to see if they want to meet you or not, so dont see the point in lyin, it just wastes peoples time

Well I wouldn't hold my breath for a msg back saying sorry not for us, as us single blokes rarely get that as couples n lasses get so may msgs r say sorry to each one they get, yes I'm a realistic guy n understand lol

Yeah I don't want fag ash breath, but there are certain degrees of smokers, but I have to say I prefer non smokers by a mile, like we all say personal preference. People have to put up with my BO lol.

When you set your profile up it automatically ticks the 'Will not meet smokers' button so maybe people just didn't realise they had to untick it

These days I'm a non smoker (for 26years actually) I met a guy not long ago who said he was a social smoker but didn't smoke everyday or before meeting non smokers. I met him on the Thursday and he claimed he hadn't smoked since the Saturday before. I knew the minute we kissed he was lying. Or does it linger that long???

Anyway my point is I now am very clear on the rule that I don't meet smokers but I still get a lot of pressure from smokers saying they won't smoke at the meet, nor beforehand etc etc. so it doesn't seem to make a lot of difference what it says on your profile it would appear
