Password protecting Kik?

Any ideas on how to make Kik safer from prying eyes on an iphone? Don't want to explain why I don't want to let my nieces play with my phone...

Don't want to jailbreak it. Ideally, a password protected folder with all my fun safely tucked away would be good. Thought it'd be easy but not found any solutions yet!

Are there any that really work?

Maybe stick it a few pages down in a boring folder, could that be safe enough from prying eyes?

Better off password protecting your phone.

Thanks. That's my current solution - buried on last page of last folder of last screen. Just felt I can't be the only person who's thinking about this, and that there must be a better solution!

Yes, phone is password protected, and autolocks too. Partly why it hasn't been a problem. But you don't seem to be able - unless I'm wrong - password protect apps or folders

No you can't - because passwording the phone is generally enough.

Can't you get a vault app for the iPhone?

On my android I have an app that locks any app I link to it. That way the children can use my phone for games but can't use the Internet or any of my chat apps...

Lock and hide on windows (although just pics)

Vaulty and a few others android

No idea for an ithing, but there could be something in the appstore to do it,

Totally agree though there are times I need to pass someone my phone or the kids will have it, I don't want to be on pins about what they can see, a seperate to lock away the priventials is a must

I have an app lock on my phone too. I select which apps are locked and they are pin protected to stop my 5 yr old being where she shouldn't

Does this work on iPhone though?

Thanks everyone. Iapplock looks like what I want but don't want go down the route of jailbreaking the phone. I've got the sense that the folder locks are mealy just apps rather being able to put whatever I want in that folder but perhaps I may be wrong. I'll keep you posted! At moment the best plan may be getting a play phone

Issue I had with folder lockers is they tend to change the attributes of the folder to make it hidden or security locked,

Removing the app can free up the folder,

May not be too much of an issue for your needs but worth being aware off

Surely, as I mentioned before, it would be easiest just to log out of kik before letting someone use the phone!!!!

Try looking for vault in the apple app store. I think that's what a friend uses and I'm sure his phone isn't jailbreaked/broken?
