We are the west side of carlisle, we are now considering glasgow as only 90 mins away,

We did hope there would be something in carlisle

Suppose it all depends what you're after. Personally I found the town to be boring and a lot of trouble. All the best places shut down and were replaced with commercial venues that just attracted tossers. Newcastle area can be a good night and closer than Glasgow.

Sounds like you're in roughly the same area as I lived before moving down south. I was in Morton Park area.

Not much going on in Carlisle, I'm afraid. There's an occasional BDSM munch in Carlisle but anyone who tries to mention it or link to it of any of the fora here tends to get either warned or banned... even if you link to it in a PM, for goodness sake!... which is a great pity since it's about the only vaguely interesting thing happening in Cumbria now.

There was a bit of a kink scene emerging in west Cumbria for a while but that's going a bit quiet too. Maryport had a scene centred around a night club called "Discretions" but that's closed now.

Welcome to the most sexless back water in Britain - I hope you brought plenty of toys, 'cause you'll likely need them!!

Don't know the area well but, from my limited experience, I would agree that there isn't much nightlife in Carlisle. You might ge some live music but not much more. If you are party people Newcastle is definitely the place to go.

Glasgow good n was to get to,usually stay in Charing x prem inn great view high up over city n no need for curtains,Newcastle even closer n great place
