"The only surprise to me is that anyone is surprised that photos were taken and appeared in the press. I mean, hundreds of swingers in a field is hardly something the media is going to ignore. One can only wonder how many thousands of photos were taken over the weekend by the swingers themselves, and how many of these will appear online, somewhere, someday." Call me naive but what was the difference between this festival and Tommorowland in Belgium both have places designated for Sex Swingers feild I should imagine pret ty much every tent. Tommorowland had the Churc of Love/Chappel of Love. A designated area with a huge bed in it only for couples. And I should imagine that Some people had too much too d*unk and ended up have sex in a field which happend in one of the camps at Tommorowland in 2014 and possibly every year it's been held. and both festivals have naked people walking around yet the swinging festival makes it into a national newspaper yet the EDM festival doesn't. Scream of hypocracy I say.

Police have no power to stop them filming or photographing incidents or police personnel. In general under the law of the United Kingdom one cannot prevent photography of private property from a public place,[citation needed] and in general the right to take photographs on private land upon which permission has been obtained is similarly unrestricted.[ However, landowners are permitted to impose any conditions they wish upon entry to a property, such as forbidding or restricting photography. A right to privacy exists in the UK law, as a consequence of the incorporation of the European Convention on Human Rights into domestic law through the Human Rights Act 1998. This can result in restrictions on the publication of photography.[this is where there is a huge contradiction in the law]

The prudish UK doesn't have many 'sex-themed' open-air events, so when one pops up it's a juicy bit of 'news' for our prurient press.

And if anyone looks up how loud 55 decibels is (as reported by the BBC) it's the equivalent of a conversation in a home or a dishwasher in use - not exactly ear-drum blasting!! And I want to know where all the shrieks, moans and groans from people having sex noisy enough to be heard by villagers were coming from - I didn't hear any of that - must make an appointment to have my hearing tested!!

If so I like the way the papers mention that slogan then mention single men just after it, I think they may think the slogan is about threesomes" And we didn't actually have any banner with that slogan on, it was on key rings given out and right at the bottom of the staff t shirts.

"I suspect there will be a new venue next year. Really, the organisers should try to have a bit more consideration for the locals. I'm sure that none of the people at the festival want to upset any of the villagers. I'm actually impressed that there were very little complaint about the "nature" of the event, just the volume of the music. " It is held at a different venue EVERY YEAR, and when the council measured the noise it was below permitted levels but we still turned it down out of consideration!" Do you do anything in the way of testing before hand? Playing loud music in the potential field and wandering around the local area?

To be fair though, the person you quoted does have a point, instead of posts laughing at the people who were upset surely as swingers we know that not everyone will like this type of event on their doorstep so should accept that they are allowed to not like it and also say so. At the same time, it sounds like it wasn't in your face bonking in fields for anyone to see... so the only thing they can complain about is any noise, which they are also entitled to.

"The report on the BBC website did specifically state that "The organisers" wouldn't turn it down. 55db didn't really sound very loud, but I think that it's probably more important whether it was loud enough to keep the locals awake." No one was asked to turn it down by anyone in authority when it was tested... So how could anyone refuse? Though it was turned down out of consideration to others I believe... I know when I had brief interlude with the press my issue was reported by 5 desperate publications and not a single one got it right!

"To be fair it is one of the few things that we noticed. Over the course of the weekend we see multiple pictures being taken and multiple videos being taken all on phones. We understand it is very hard to police but why not ban phones from the main entertainment area for this each purpose, which would then make it easier to police. A though for next year maybe. Truth is anyone could have taken those pictures that was at the festival and sold them on." The problem with banning phones from the main arena is that people would then have to leave them in their tents - where they are at risk of being stolen! Most swingers are honest -some aren't!! I had an amazing time and will definitely be there next year - but will need to have a better cover story in place in case it hits the news again! Nearly got rumbled this time - thank goodness there really WAS a music festival in Gloucestershire at the time - told my suspicious daughter I went to that one instead!
