I wonder if it is actually true that guys are more frequently horny than women or is it just an old wives tale and it depends on the individual.

In our relationship I get horny more than Amanda. But if that is generally the case, is it genetic or is it just the way we are socialised to be?

I don't think its true although if we weren't in this lifestyle I might think differently.

Is it possibly to do with the opinion of some people that if men sleep with loads of women they are more open about it and patted on the back by other men but if its the other way round women are name called and branded a slut?

Yeah this is thought to be true because when sex surveys are made the results don't add up properly (men tend to be having more sex and more partners than women), until these surveys are done anonymously and then women tend to be having just as much sex and partners as men.

Men and women can be equally horny but it's easier for women to get "seen to" because of societal views that if a woman is promiscuous it's a bad thing so more men are open about liberal sex.

Agree with what's been said basically. C if anything gets horny more often than me, but I'm much more prepared to push boundaries and explore. Its not coz she doesnt get turned on by kinky sex, she just has more internal barriers to overcome, which I suspect may have something to do with how women are conditioned to feel about their sexuality.

This is how I think it is generally in the wider population, but it may be a bit different here on fab.

I find my horn is unleashed after I get to know someone, there are very few days ill wake up (if I'm not 'with' someone) and go 'today I am horny, lets find someone'. when I do it myself, its ok but it takes a loooong time, so for convenience sake, I like to have sex, but I struggle to get horny if I don't know someone. If I don't have sex there's a week of an itch, but after that it just goes away completely.

But when you open up the box, I'm ridiculous, would rather fuck than eat, some guys aren't expecting it, a very greedy girl under it all. I was definitely the horny one in my previous relationship! But then he loves summer and his job and being all over the country, for me, summer is a very lonely period of time, I'd much rather hump in winter to keep warm!

I think there are women with high drives too, we wouldn't be here otherwise. In the general population, no idea, but in relationships, I've always had the higher sex drive. Like others have said, women are often still conditioned to feel they shouldn't have sex with lots of different people. So they can't be as open about it, as men can.
