I used to row for tideway years ago as a junior, had my own boat and all, but never won a medal so I was 'retired'! Miss it though. Still have sturdy legs tho!

Yes, I've never felt as strong as when I was rowing, sturdy legs, I have to get my trousers two sizes bigger than my waist to get my legs in.

Ha - I know that feeling! 'Fashionable' cuts are not built for legs that have spent time on a slide! I'm glad I'm not the only one! Were you a tideway oarsman?

Not sure if it counts, but part of the Huyton Sea Cadets boat pulling crew. But like rowing but using a 16'6 ASC wooden boat.

I have my own hybrid racing kayak and use it in fair weather . . . so not very often

Mostly on holiday.

Yep skinny jeans do not work for me. Most recently I used to row on Edgbaston Reser, but before that as a youngster it was down by Donnington Bridge, since I've moved out here I've just started again on Lake Washington.

LOL! Bloody skinny jeans!I know the colourfully grafittied 'Donny Bridge' very well! The Yanks love lake rowing - and who can blame them. I've had a crack at it in Princeton and it's a completely different 'feel' - but pretty amazing though. Hopefully a few hottie womens crews to keep you company?
