Seems ok to me im in a similar situation. Met a girl again who lives a distance away from me we both single got strong feelings yet are keeping our relationship open for now. But we have said that if we do commit to a relationship and she wants to swing as a couple then i have no issues with that .

I used to see a guy who I started getting feelings for, so I stopped meeting him as I didn't want to end up getting hurt

Sometimes you need to have a word with yourself and stepping away is at times the best option, even more so if you know they don't want the same as you x
