I've always quite liked the term 'muff diving', thought of it as quite an innocent, witty little term. I've recently been informed that some people hate it/find it offensive. Have I been wrong all this time..is it considered on a par with something like 'carpet munching'?

Muff diving reminds me of my youth many many moons ago when if it was said everyone giggled like naughty little kids.

It's not offensive to me just sounds childish.
