Apparently they are very useful if you are into sheep.

You simply stand their front feet (paws, hooves, trotters...what do you call them on sheep?) in them and they find it very hard to run away.

Hmm..too much inherent danger for my liking. What if said sheep is so traumatised by the assault that it simply decides to jump of the cliff in a bid to escape. Whilst grabbing tightly onto the sheep's hind quarters for better purchase the defiler might likely go over with them!
